Elliott was one of 20 to 30 members of the motorcycle group, Ruthless Ryderz, who were riding on the northbound 15 Freeway near Weirick Road just before 10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The group was causing traffic woes on the freeway as members slowed and blocked motorists so that riders “could perform illegal stunts on the freeway,” CHP Sgt. Nathan Baer said in a statement.
As the group slowed traffic for their stunt show, Elliott stood up onto the seat of his 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle, the sergeant said.
Elliott, who was not holding onto the handlebars, lost control of his bike, tumbled off and landed on the road, Baer said.
Elliott suffered major head trauma even though he was wearing a helmet, the sergeant said.

Things I have seen CA motorcyclists do; pass on the shoulder, attempt to split lanes in narrow construction zone between two semis, use the bike lane as a passing lane, use the center two directional turn lane to pass, us the opposite traffic left turn lane to pass, go the opposite direction on a roundabout to pass, split lanes traveling in opposite direction. I see them whack side mirrors all the time. Harley guys and the modified crotch rocket guys seem to be the worst. Seemingly there are no decibel laws for street Harleys on the ones on the track (Don’t you dare tell me loudness equates to safety).
Sad thing is, one of these butt wipes coming through your windshield can kill you, though you may not receive a traffic ticket, you may still lose in civil court.
