CNN ^ | July 17, 2017 | Debra Goldschmidt

"It's a significant operation," he said, adding that general anesthesia was used and "there was obviously an abnormality that was concerning enough for him to go through this." Gupta prefers to refer to the clot as an "abnormality" because lab results are still pending and, "it's a pretty significant size of compression on that part of the brain."

I am not sure that this is even a real thing. He may be staying out of sight since he could be in deep doo-doo over this dossier business.

That’s what I think, and I expect him to retire soon.

They all know exactly what McCains issues are but are not saying for political reasons.

Yep. And for these same political reasons good news would have been reported immediately. So by telling us nothing they've actually told us all we need to know.

“Compression by clot.”

Can this condition cause treachery and prickery?

I wonder if he has a brain tumor. I remember Bob Novak started acting bizarrely and hit somebody with his car. It turned out to be a fatal brain tumor.

More likely they’re installing a new battery and using the clot story as cover.

“Lab results are still pending.” I have to call BS on that, surgeons get updated about the cells in the margins during cancer surgery in a matter of minutes. They all know exactly what McCains issues are but are not saying for political reasons.

I will second that after many cancer surgeries.

Needs to resign.

Arizona voted for a full time healthy senator. Out of respect for the voters and tax payers, he should resign.

But he won’t.

Replying to @kelliwardaz

It was "elective" surgery, he wanted to push back the vote out of spite. He could have voted then did the surgery. This is why we need u!

This is a conveniently arranged way for the good Senator to ride off to the sunset prior to the immanent investigations that are coming to his place in the swamp.

He resigns due to health reasons or he can’t testify due to brain problems.

I find myself holding two thoughts at the same time:

1. I don’t wish any harm to come to John McCain.
2. I really wish John McCain wasn’t a senator any longer.
