Cuccinelli Swipes at Swalwell’s Calls to Bolster Obamacare: ‘You Don’t Strengthen a Failure’

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D., Calif. ) said Sunday on CNN that Republicans would satisfy uneasy voters by strengthening Obamacare, but his fellow panelist Ken Cuccinelli fired back at the notion that the health care program simply needs help.

"I think the people are being heard," Swalwell said on "State Of The Union" about the debate over the GOP's health care bill in the Senate. "And I wish we were amplifying these stories two years ago."

Swalwell went onto say that those voices would make attempts to repeal Obamacare politically difficult.

"It's the people who are coming forward saying, ‘This affects my son with cancer. This affects my husband's treatment. Don't charge us more. Don't take away our care,' and I think that energy is going to be leveraged in the Senate, and it's going to keep them from –"

Cuccinelli, the former Republican Virginia Attorney General, interrupted to say, "But Obamacare is why the charges are going up."

Swalwell replied, "And we should strengthen Obamacare."

"No, no," Cuccinelli interjected. "No, you don't strengthen a failure, you get rid of a failure."

“You Don’t Strengthen a Failure”

Well ok, that is one argument.

Here is another.

“The power of healthcare is not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, therefore, the power of healthcare is reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Amendment X

In other words, Fed power over healthcare is illegal.

You don't get rid of one failure and replace it with another. Which is what the Republicans seem hell-bent on doing.

Neither is Social Security and Medicare mentioned as gov’t responsibility in US constitution. All these entitlement programs should be canceled as well? I say yes!

....Don’t charge us more. Don’t take away our care,...

This Democrat is talking about high deductibles, astronomic rate increases, insurers dropping out, counties without any insurers, and other atrocities suffered under Obamacare, designed to fail and lead to single payer.
Continuing democrat deceit upon deceit

SELECTIVE CONSTITUTION

Selective Constitution you have there.

Takings clause says there are no takings without "just compensation".

Social Security takings must be refunded. Funny how people omit other parts of the Constitution.

“No, no,” Cuccinelli interjected. “No, you don’t strengthen a failure, you get rid of a failure.”

I disagree, we can SAVE Obamacare, we just need to Fully Implement it and give the Uniparty exactly what they are asking for.

I believe President Trump should Call their Bluff and Force the Issue.

When and ONLY WHEN Government Lives under the Same Laws as us will anything substantial happen

OBAMACARE Can be Saved!!

There are about 22 MILLION Public Employee’s Nationwide that are Ineligible for Subsidies, this infusion of New Paying Customers will SAVE OBAMACARE. the SEIU and every other Public Employee UNION fully Endorse Obamacare and have held numerous rallies in support thereof.

Let’s Give them what they want!

I believe our Public Employees deserve the Best Health Care America has to offer, and that is the Official Government Health Care Plan, Obamacare. So why don’t you quit pussyfooting around and Proudly Proclaim your desire to see that ALL Federal Employees receive the Finest, Most Affordable Health Care the US has to offer, OBAMACARE.

All the Money currently wasted on these inferior high priced cadillac plans can be diverted to the Wall.

There is ONLY ONE WAY to make it happen:

Executive Orders or Legislation, the chance of CONgress doing it are the same as OJ Confessing, so I am choosing Executive Orders.

1. All waivers to the Affordable Care act are hereby repealed.

2. There shall be NO funds drawn from the treasury to pay for Health Insurance for ANY Federal Employee except Members of the Armed Services.

3. ALL Federal Employees except members of the US Armed Services, SHALL purchase their own personal and Family Health Insurance from the Affordable Care Exchange in the state they legally reside.

4. There shall be NO Medicaid Reimbursement funds allocated to any State that does not have 100% of their Public Employees enrolled in the Affordable Care Act.

And to make sure it is Bipartisan, President Trump should VETO it every Time and FORCE them to Override his Veto to Repeal this Monstrosity.

Sign these 4 orders and it will be FULLY REPEALED in Less than 30 days.

NOT UNTIL, Anyone want to make a BET???

When and ONLY WHEN Government Lives under the Same Laws as us will anything substantial happen

The Republicans want to keep as much of Obamacare as they can, all of the federal agencies and especially control of all health records.

They serve Fedzilla, not the citizens.

Medicare For All by Labor Day ?

If the Republicans pass Trumpcare then when it fails there will be single-payer that replaces it. Watch. It's inevitable.

Keeping O'care is hurting ME! I have health insurance (retired from USPS), was diagnosed within 6 months with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. O’care added so many requirements that across 8 years my insurance has nearly tripled, which I can handle, but I've paid $5,000 in ‘cost sharing’ each year. Luckily, my husband is healthy, or I'd be paying another $5,000 in cost-sharing for him! Almost $6,500 hundred in insurance + between 5-10k in cost sharing. That isn't insurance, it's clearly redistribution. Here in PA, state employees (including school districts and university employees) are exempt, and are still paying what little they were, along with little to no cost sharing. Let them pay like I am, and like plenty who pay much more do, and maybe they'll start demanding O’care be killed too!

I will refund all the social security checks, if the government will refund all the taxes me and my employer paid for me.

If the GOP just gets rid of mandate, I will accept anything they legislate.
