IIRC, The US life expectancy is calculated from the moment of birth, in Britain, at least in the past, didn’t include babies that weren’t expected to live long (baby Charlie??), thereby increasing their life expectancy stats.
I’ve also read that UK has the cancer lowest survival rate of the all first world nations.
My friends from Canada and UK say socialized medicine is fantastic... unless your sick!

A friend lives in England. He developed a post-op hip replacement infection after hospital discharge and had to take a bus (as in public transportation) back to the hospital for treatment. Sounds good, huh?
