You might be happy but I am thinking there were will be a few “moderate” republicans who will be inclined not to support this, because allowing people freedom would kill the mandated Obamacare-replacement plan. Healthy and young people will get much better deals opting for one the so called junk policies. And then the risk pool will become even more lopsided than it is now. Already there aren’t enough young and healthy people in the system as was estimated.

And for this reason will Olympia Snow and Susan Collins support this? I doubt it. One more thing, why does Maine give us such horrible senators anyways?

No, it won’t.

The individual mandate only kicked in in 2014.

In 2013, there was no individual mandate, but something like 8 million people were covered by full PPACA coverage via Obama’s “Marketplace”.

Maine’s economy is highly seasonable.

In the slack times, people in Maine often qualify for SNAP “food stamp” benefits, etc.
