“allowing people freedom would kill the mandated Obamacare-replacement plan.”

No, it won’t.

The individual mandate only kicked in in 2014.

In 2013, there was no individual mandate, but something like 8 million people were covered by full PPACA coverage via Obama’s “Marketplace”.

Freedom to buy or not buy “worked” (by Democratic standards) in 2013 and can work again.

I used mandated Obamacare-replacement plan as the name for whatever the new bill will be called....the one that allows kids up to age 26, no bans on per-existing conditions and the one that forces men and elderly women to have maternity coverage.

As I listen to Trump and the moderates, they like covering young adults as children, they like covering people with per-existing conditions and they like health plans that have to cover everything. I as a self-employed man do not like the premiums such plans cost.
