New details have emerged about a Republican opposition researchers failed attempt to get Hillary Clinton deleted emails from Russian computer hackers who claimed to have the documents.
Earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal broke the story that a longtime political operative named Peter Smith formed a team of researchers, investigators, computer experts and attorneys to obtain 33,000 emails that Clinton deleted from the email server she used as secretary of state.
Smith hoped to show that Clintons server had been hacked, an allegation she repeatedly denied during the campaign.
The Journal report was particularly intriguing because Smith, who died in May at the age of 81, suggested to associates that retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn may have been involved in the Clinton email hunt.

The DemonRats are SURE the Russians HACKED our election but NOT Hillary’s server. LOL
another dead end
Think they critters on the left side of the swamp are rabid enough to throw Hillary under the bus and let the Russian collusion be giving emails from Hillary’s server to the Trump campaign? Some would like her out of the way.
They need to check Seth Rich’s hard drive. This whole Seth Rich murder needs investigated by the FBI.
Whether her server had been hacked or not, the point was it was UNSECURE and she was using it to conduct national security business (while in the employ of the US citizens).
It was grossly irresponsible in and of itself.
If it was not hacked it was still grossly irresponsible and IMO criminal.
How did Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s government e-mail end up on the computer of a convicted pedophile? How did the e-mail end up on yahoo.com?
They folks that have the “33,000 deleted Miss Hillary’s emails” will probably find themselves accidentally shot dead in the middle of the day on Time Square.
