A growing number of Californians want to secede from the U.S., according to a new poll by Supporters of California Independence.
Thirty-three percent of the people surveyed were in favor of the idea, the majority of them saying they are progressives or social Democrats.

What would the Illegals do? Would they stay in the Republic of California and risk bankruptcy...or would the flee to the USA, where welfare benefits would be more dependable?
California can start their own central bank and issue currency, open borders, open ports and then, tax the jeebers out of Silicon Valley, the movie industry, and everyone who makes over $50K to start.
I can see a great future for moving companies, packers and private security firms.
Don't expect Uncle Sam to provide for your defense. Moonbeam will have to work that out.
Wait until Russia and/or China get involved to “support” their independence.

They should nickname their currency the “wacko”. If they want to leave we should let them.
Anyone who wants to become a citizen of California will lose their US Citizenship and should be treated as a foreign nationals, right down to requiring a travel visa to enter the remaining states.
They will need an arms agreement from us to purchase military gear (unless they want to be occupied by Mexico or someone else looking to annex them).
The resulting taxation and nationalization of infrastructure to pay for it all will be a stark reminder of what happens when we let lunatics take over the the public education system.

We will provide for the defense-Monroe Doctrine. As for seceding can they do it by Nov. 18’?
Would be interesting how much of the National Debt they would carry. Let Trump negotiate this deal.

If they do secede, they’ll be doing it without the water-laden North State. They want nothing to do with it.
Can the conservatives in California step up and get this idea over 50%? They can always move afterward.
Also be nice for the Dems to lose the electoral college votes.
