ITV has been accused of “racism” by furious social media users after advertising an internship for its flagship Peston on Sunday political programme which excludes certain candidates on the basis of race.
Presenter Robert Peston, a BBC hire who became ITV’s political editor, tweeted out a message on June 8th telling followers that he and his team were “looking for an intern keen to learn about production and excited by politics”.
Social media users soon realised that Creative Access, the company tasked with placing the intern, was excluding candidates based on race, with the post “only open to UK nationals from a black, Asian or non-white ethnic minority” to work on the show in London – where ‘White British’ people are already a minority, according to the latest census.

Then I could never patronise it. I could never be sure someone hadn’t spit in my food, or worse (a la Jesse Jackson, who as a waiter spit in whites’s food while sucking up to them for tips. He himself later proudly attested to this).

In the UK when they say “Asian” it really means Muslim. I assure you India is in Asia but if the applicant is Indian Hindu or Christian he will not be considered for the position.
When there is an attack by Muslims on innocents in the UK, the attacker will not be identified quickly but later will be called “Asian.” The BBC and ITV will never ever not even once say, “Muslim religious fanatic killer.” If it was a right wing Christian attacker they would scream it from the rooftops! The BBC does not care for the word Jihad either. The BBC does not talk about genital mutilation that occurs by the thousands inside the UK.
The BBC is socially, politically, journalistic and morally corrupt. This is very sad. Forty years ago I would listen to the BBC on shortwave when I was in remote areas of the world. They were very good back then. As with all news organization they on occasion made and error. It would be promptly corrected. Forty years ago if the BBC said, you could believe it. Sadly this is no longer the norm at The BBC. A once great organization has marginalized itself.
I have read many job advertisements that end with the words “diversity candidates preferred”. This is code for “Whitey need not apply”.
