Controversial Muslim activist Linda Sarsour gave a fiery speech last weekend where she said fellow Muslim-Americans do not have to “assimilate” and blasted Trump administration policies, even suggesting that resisting those policies could count as a “form of jihad.”

I am so tired of hearing “We are a nation of immigrants” as a justification for uncontrolled immigration. That is trite and specious in an argue for immigration today. Immigrants in the past came here to be Americans, not transform my country into the hell hole they just left. If they don’t like our country, its people, and culture, leave. It’s that simple.

The slogan you disparage is just that a slogan. The original settlers were not immigrants into an established society, they were exploring settlers, who then built communities from the ground up.
Suggesting that those who now come here and disparage our heritage have anything in common with those settlers, is beyond silly!
