And now the other shoe drops...

You see now the real motivation behind globalization and the $15-per-hour movements. Destroy real American jobs, crush millions in to meaningless jobs, destroy more jobs by demanding those meaningless jobs be $15-per-hour, then pay for all the unemployed with a guaranteed income.

They decided upon socialism as the end game, and the road they chose to get there is through globalization.

Let him and the rest of the idiots lead by example. Let them pay all their employees and contractors and everyone they do business with; this “livable” wage. When the money stops flowing into the accounts, they will sing a different tune.

Correction!

MARX Zukerberg.

This proposal has little difference from that proposed by Karl Marx 100 years ago.

I’ve been hearing about this idea of giving everyone a basic income.

Don’t we already do something like that, with the various social welfare programs?? Aren’t benefits such as EBT and the SNAP food stamp program and section 8 housing giving the poor some basic level of subsistence, even if not all is paid in cash??

Are we supposed to give people extra over and above the value of the social welfare benefits we already provide?

And if it’s over and above what we already provide, how the heck does that get paid for?

I hate to sound inhumane, but, what incentive would anyone have to get off public assistance, if the basic minimum income provides a life where nobody has any incentive to go to work or go to school to improve themselves???

If this replaced all other forms of welfare/socialism/SS/Medicare/etc then we can probably have this discussion in 10 years.

MZ is just a younger Bernie Sanders.

Unfortunately Sanders garnered quite a bit of support.

I’m going to ask, what income, what redistribution, when the productive working people get tired of pulling the wagon for more and more people jmping on it, and decide to drop the yoke and get on it themselves? Then who does people like Zuckerberg think will fund this “basic income”, or does he think people can just go pick it from the money tree?

YOU give everybody a basic income, Jerkoffberg! Only then might you understand what it means to have a substantial portion of your hard earned income taken away from you because some birdbrained POS had a brainfart and thought it’d be a good idea.

Hey Mark,

We already have this idea in America for the government to give people money even if they don’t work. We call it welfare, check it out...

Alaska has a form of basic income called the Permanent Fund Dividend. Every year, a portion of the oil revenue Social Sites revenue the state makes is put into a fund.

In a decade or two robots will be available that can replace humans in most jobs leaving huge numbers of people unemployed. There are two ways of dealing with this, give everyone a guaranteed wage OR make it illegal to replace human workers with machines.

He can sit at his desk in his mansion in Hawaii with the high security wall around it, to write the checks.

There is no leftist hypocrite like a rich leftist hypocrite. They need to be the first ones in the tumbrils, come the revolution.

My friends: If this were to happen Trump would be the right one to administer it-illegals need not apply. ELIMINATE all income transfers including SSI, EBT, SNAP, etc. $10k/yr for EVERYONE over 21, including the one percenters. Just print the check and layoff all government workers. Mathematically it could work. Read it in Charles Murray’s book.
