I hope people don't take this article at face value, without consulting with their doctors. This article is specific to breast cancer, and does not mention the specific compounds used in the chemotherapy.

My wife has received many chemo sessions for years now, to combat cancer. To date, it has been successful and she is in remission. Not all chemotherapy is the same. At times, she has had five different chemo medicines mixed together in her chemo treatments. Some are administered separately from the mix by injection. Some will cause hair loss, most will not. So, as I said, best to discuss any fears with your doctor overseeing your treatments rather than get spooked by this article. My wife's treatments have saved her life; she would have died without them.

No s**t Sherlock, the ingredients of chemotherapy are often known carcinogenics . Intersperse that with exposure to radiation and what would you think would happen besides you collecting a hundred grand for “treatment schedules”?

first of all, the article does not tell what % of people this happens to- secondly, chemo does not stop all cancers from coming back- but it does help a great many people prevent it from doing so- third we don’t know what stage the cancers were at that came back later- forth the article lists 55,000- then states that 11,000 die- again not telling us what stages of cancer the 11,000 were in- the article later mentions 20 patients where ‘doorways were opened’- Yeah? Out of how many patients? and again, what stage was their cancer in when doorways were supposedly opened?

“He also discovered that in mice with breast cancer chemotherapy increased the number of cancer cells circulating the body and in the lungs.”

Sigh- how many mice got it? how many mice were studied? What % did it happen to? what stages were they in?

poorly written article

I know a woman who is going on 8 years cancer free after having chemotherapy for the most aggressive type of ovarian cancer. If this article is the death panels at work then a pox on you bastards.

This is nothing new. Any agent that effects DNA has the ability to actually cause cancer. However, if one has cancer the risks of this are far outweighed by the chance of a cure.

If I had cancer, I would sure as hell would take the appropriate chemotherapy. I am a pharmacist. The proof is in the statistics. Many many many are alive today due to chemotherapy.

Socialized medicine can save a lot of money in the long run if they cut off chemo.

I am skeptical.

I lost My 2nd Wife to this HORRIBLE DISEASE AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!

All courtesy of the VA.

Breast to Kidney,Liver,Pancreas,Lung and finally Her Brain.

After: Chemotherapy,Mastectomy and Radiation.

It’s horrible. The Brain swells until the Cerebral Spinal fluid is pushed out of the scull rupturing the Spinal cord in an AGONIZING runup to suddenly instant death...

I HATE CANCER!!!!
At least She no longer hurts

I read reports 50 years ago that operations that open the tumor to air - and the instruments - spread cancer....

But cancer is BIG $$$$$

Not to mention the articles about many breast cancer diagnoses are wrong and many go thru’ all the horror when they never had cancer.

I also remember a neighbor, feeling ill, over 35 years ago that was given exploratory operation.

they closed her up and told the husband it was cancer but there’s nothing we can do. It has spread to far.

the husband told them not to tell her. He wanted her to live what time she had left without the specter of death hanging over her days.

She lived more than 30 yrs more.

Prayer works.

Chemo is only SEVEN PERCENT EFFECTIVE.

It’s poison. And at $50,000 a pop, you represent half a million dollars to a hospital or doctor who prescribes ten sessions. Or a million at twenty.

May God damn the souls of people who wittingly prescribe chemo for cancer, knowing it is just glorified poison.

Sunlight (D3) juicing, non GMO foods, stimulating lymph system... cures cancer and I happen to know. The Lord healed me of cancer last year. Praise You, Lord God, Praise You, dear Jesus.

So instead of dying quickly of your first cancer, you end up living long enough to get another cancer that kills you years later.

doctors are aware of the problem, but now that some chemotherapy is used for other diseases, it is a real dilemma...in effect you knock out cells that quickly reproduce, and as a side effect it lowers your immunity to lots of other diseases, like TB or certain cancers.

Examples...severe crippling rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, or after a transplant.

My wife died one month ago from complications from the cancer she had. The chemo really did a number on her and she was on five different regimens of chemo/immunotherapy since she was diagnosed in January 2014. It did extend her life 3 1/2 years but she was sick from the side-effects of the chemo for most of that time. If I’m ever diagnosed with cancer, I’m opting for palliative care and let nature take it’s course...

Sadly that’s almost every cancer story I know...treated, looks great for a while, returns in many places with a vengeance.

I wonder what political leanings these scientists have. Using words like “It is thought that....may turn on”, etc., makes one think they are looking for a way to validate that global climate change is a real issue and the data needs to be manipulated to get folks to believe it.

Mammograms can spread an in situ cancer also. There is a lot of debate about why we do not give the patients informed consent. Big radiology deserves the lawsuit they will eventually get.
