This is nothing new. Any agent that effects DNA has the ability to actually cause cancer. However, if one has cancer the risks of this are far outweighed by the chance of a cure.
If I had cancer, I would sure as hell would take the appropriate chemotherapy. I am a pharmacist. The proof is in the statistics. Many many many are alive today due to chemotherapy.
Yes. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, my wife would be dead without having had her chemo treatments. She has had surgery to remove lymphoma flareups, radiation to reduce others. But it was the chemo treatments that did the job and she is now in remission. Her doctor told her that the new drugs were not available a few years earlier than when she started receiving treatments and she would have been out of luck.
One of my daughters worked at Genentech for many years before leaving last year for another job. She told us of the many clinical trials and millions of research dollars spent proving these drugs work before the FDA gives them the approvals to market them. My wife received some of these Genentech drugs in her chemo cocktails. I would trust the reports from Genentech long before believing in some random journalist's story.
Not the statistics I read and confirmed with my doctors last year when I absolutely refused chemo or radiation. It’s laughable. I’m cancer free.
Again, may God damn the souls of those who wittingly know chemo is just glorified poison but prescribe it anyway.
