(CNN) The Reddit user who initially claimed credit for President Donald Trump's tweet that showed Trump tackling CNN issued an apology Tuesday for the video and other offensive content he posted -- one day after CNN identified the man behind the account and attempted to make contact with him.
Reddit user "HanA**holeSolo" first shared the GIF last Wednesday of Trump pummeling a wrestler with CNN's logo imposed on his face. CNN could find no earlier instance of the GIF. The GIF was later edited into a video with sound and tweeted by the President on Sunday. On Reddit, "HanA**holeSolo" took credit for inspiring the tweet. Soon after, "HanA**holeSolo's" other posts on Reddit, some of which included racist and anti-Semitic imagery, quickly circulated on social media.
Now the user is apologizing, writing in a lengthy post on Reddit that he does not advocate violence against the press and expressing remorse there and in an interview with CNN for other posts he made that were racist and anti-Semitic.

Using identifying information that [the user] posted on Reddit, KFile was able to determine key biographical details, to find the man's name using a Facebook search and ultimately corroborate details he had made available on Reddit.
Don't post identifying information! Don't let yourself be searchable on Facebook!

Reddit is extremely pro Hillary and fought against Trump all through the election. They kicked off the Pizzagate sub as it was hurting Hillary.
Reddit turned over the IP info to the Dem operatives (Media Matters) and they gave it to CNN.
This is Doxxing — public outing of private individuals to cause them harm.
Later his name will ‘leak’ no doubt and he will get death threats, might lose his job.
This was a warning shot form the Fake Stream Media to Reddtiors or even posters on sites like this: we will out you and destroy you if you mess with us.
This is disturbingly reminiscent of the “press” in Communist dictatorships: hand their victim a self-incriminating statement that doesn’t sound anything like he’s ever written and force him to post it under his name with the threat of ruining his life if he doesn’t.
It’s hard not to think of the show trial in North Korea for that poor college kid who supposedly stole a poster—something his Communist masters treated as some great horror. These are the sort of tactics that Stalin perfected. That CNN, one of the most unethical organizations that exists in this country, has treated this person’s funny little joke video in such an over-the-top manner goes far beyond the absurd well into anti-free speech, oppressive authoritarian tactics territory.
The immoral and dangerous propagandists at CNN scream about their own “free speech” (which hasn’t been threatened in the slightest) whenever anyone uses free speech to fight back against against them, while they and their leftists allies are the only ones trying to end free speech in this country.
