Not according to genealogists. Records show the first people with the Andriessen surname came to this country came from Germany and Denmark. Some may be Armenian as well at this point but Germany/Denmark is considered the origin of the name.

Answer: None.

Andriessen is not the same as Andressian.
Any surname with the endings -ian, -yan, or -jan is likely Armenian. There are lots of people of Armenian ancestry in southern California.

Andriessen sounds like a Danish last name. Sen is used in Denmark and other nordic countries, Son is more common in Germany and England. The name that was in the article was Andressian. That is an Armenian name. Was the article wrong on the name?
