The EPA chief has repeatedly rejected claims of mainstream climate science
Scott Pruitt, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, is reportedly launching a program within the department to critique mainstream climate science, a senior administration official said, according to reports.
The initiative, reportedly set to be coordinated by government-recruited experts, will attempt to offer a back-and-forth critique of climate science utilizing military-style exercises that identify potential vulnerabilities in field operations, according to environmental trade publication E&E News.
The administrator believes that we will be able to recruit the best in the fields which study climate and will organize a specific process in which these individuals provide back-and-forth critique of specific new reports on climate science, the official said, according to E&E News.
We are in fact very excited about this initiative, the official reportedly added. Climate science, like other fields of science, is constantly changing. A new, fresh and transparent evaluation is something everyone should support doing.

Here's an old song I like.
Like actual reviews and critiques? WOW!
Only a politician would come up with the idea of “critiquing” fraud rather than “prosecuting” it. How much money is this going to cost?
This is a GREAT idea! The actual science, assumptions, data, and methodology will be discussed. The result will be that ALL of us will better understand the science and forces behind climate change.
Up to now scientists with alternate ideas and findings are being swamped by the global warmists who have more funding than those trying to be heard, and they have the MSM behind them, and many people I would describe as low information types who want to believe that mankind is no good.
The writer really twisted the story.
The plan is to establish a running debate between people holding differing opinions.
The author’s source as has simply replaced the word ‘debate’ with the word ‘criticism’ to provoke a gut reaction from readers in opposition to free and open discourse.

Sourceless article. Worthless. Sorry, just IMHO.
“a senior administration official said” = “rumour has it that...”
U.S. EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt is leading a formal initiative to challenge mainstream climate science using a back-and-forth critique by government-recruited experts, according to a senior administration official. Those words are from the anonymous source referred to in the E&E News link, not from Pruitt.
Real scientists used to publish in order to be critiqued by other people who may know more about certain things then they did.
Nobody knows everything about everything. It just is not possible. And that one "not in my field" fact may be what proves or disproves your theory.
They are going to question wisdom HANDED DOWN FROM ON HIGH, by the MAN WHO INVENTED THE INTERNET???
AWESOME! This is great news. I feared Trump would just deny global warming (correctly of course), but leave it at that without going the next step to demonstrate all the flaws in the IPCC models and studies, including the doctored raw data.
This is awesome for Pruitt to be attacking the science itself, which is BADLY NEEDED. Badly needed!
This made my day, my week, my year.
I have been saying “Happy Dependence Day” for the 4th of July, ever since Obama got elected. This year, I can once again say, “Happy Independence Day”. The Nation is finally on the right track, no thanks to the clueless GOP-e. Will they EVER get on board with Trump? Not likely, I know...
Point being it will be discussed, and not “it’s settled science so shut up.”
Is “Bill Nye, the science guy” going to be in attendance? /s
What possibility is there to have a meaningful discussion with liars?
This is a shell game, not a real discussion. I do not foresee anything good coming from it.
