Greta Van Susteren is out at MSNBC less than six months after she started at the cable channel.

Van Susteren broke the news of her own ouster Thursday, tweeting "I'm out at MSNBC" shortly before the network issued its own announcement. Van Susteren's husband, John Coale, told CNNMoney, "They let her go," and added that she and MSNBC were "working out contract issues now."

Well not quite...almost :) https://t.co/M7U0GD6V5V — Greta Van Susteren (@greta) June 29, 2017

CNNMoney also reported that Van Susteren was given no prior notice of the decision and was told her on-air presence was not "confrontational enough.

Working out the departure arrangements. IOW $$$$$. Being replaced by a more liberal host? Didn't expect that one. LOL! So, is mee-again kelly next to get dumped? Ratings kind of suck from what I hear. Could be fake news of course. Then again, her ratings were starting to suck at fox since she figured SHE was the show.

IMHO, she didn’t get the audience because she was center right and that doesn’t fit the mold of PMSNBC viewers.

I didn’t even know she was still on the air at all...

her and O’Reilly and Hannity and Levin and Rush should all get together and start a new TV network.

Glenn Beck almost did it until he went nuts.

They could even hire Meghan Kelly and make her do the weather in a bikini.

These networks have to realize that bringing in the opposing side to their normal lineup won’t work. Fox would not get an audience for a liberal host (I still can’t explain Shep other than he’s got pictures), and MeAgain will continue to flop everywhere because she’s trying to play both sides. The right dislikes her for what she did to Trump, along with her left leanings, and the left will never accept a Fox babe.

Greta wasn’t big enough that a large number would follow her to msnbc, plus their audience must have continually called and complained about her to get her out.

Lol! Actually I think Greta and BOR would make a good team, although it’s doubtful BOR would share the stage with anyone. Some of the best segments of his old show were those featuring subject matter experts (”Is it Legal”, etc) who would address issues with facts and data rather than just dueling opinions. As a lawyer, Greta brought a similar perspective. Like him or not, BOR has the presence to get the biggest newsmakers to appear so we can hear from them directly without the usual media spin. That is now largely missing from FNC, and we’re left with hearing what Juan Williams thinks the newsmakers think.

Waiting on the mother ship piloted by LRH his self? We’ve been watching the Leah Remini(sp) show and her expose of these folks. WOW! Of course, grain of salt as usual.

No surprise here. Greta was never confrontational, she’d speak her piece, let her guest’s talk and let the audience make up their mind.

Here’s a bit of advice for Greta.

Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of their audience.

Surprised she lasted as long as she did. Time she retire and start a new career.

They should go to One America News which is fighting for a place on the Map. Steyn needs to be there too, despite Levin.

This shows the value of the “news” websites: they’re not heavily influenced by financial and audience-size factors.

I like Greta VS regardless of her leanings. Since I seldom watched her on FOX because of the time slot I was not much help for her ratings. She has a nice retirement cushion and should find something more interesting and engaging than a network job. Go and enjoy your life Greta!

It’s not the weather, it’s a thinly disguised Russian connection.

“She has a nice retirement cushion and should find something more interesting and engaging than a network job.”

I think she could actually help Trump’s administration in an advisory role with regards the media.
