Insurance premiums would shoot up 74 percent for the average customer under the Republican Senate health care bill, according to a new report, with older customers having to pay more than twice as much for comparable plans.
The study by the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation looked at the average cost for an individual market plan that covers about 70 percent of medical costs, which is the benchmark plan under Obamacare, and factored in both the price of insurance and the amount of subsidies people would receive.

On average, Americans between ages 55 and 64 would see a 115 percent increase, more than double their premiums under Obamacare, to buy a comparable plan. Americans with incomes under 200 percent of the federal poverty line (about $24,000 for individuals) would see 177 percent increases in premiums versus just 57 percent for people with higher incomes.

Cancel all Obamacare waivers and deferrals including Congress, unions, Hollywood, restraunts in Pelosi’s district and the rest. Instruct the IRS to collect all taxes, fees, and penalties to the exact language of the 2010 law. No exceptions. No waivers for donors and lobbyists. In other words, go full frontal Obamacare.

The problem is the Democrats blew up the system for 80% of the people to try and solve a problem for 20% of the people. Now, it’s almost impossible to go back to the previous system. Simply repealing Obama are would not revert us back to the old system because Democrats blew so many holes into it that it can’t be simply patched.
Perhaps NBC needs to look up how much premiums have skyrocketed over their messiah Obamacare since they LOVE it so much..what the left wants is single payer, that way they control who lives and who dies

According to fivethirtyeight.com the CBO projection for older adults is a lot worse than that, but I can’t find a link for the CBO projection to verify that is what they said really.
actually it looks like they say that a 40 year old making an average salary will be paying about 500 less than the current law.
IMO Kaiser is a top-notch medical care provider, they really have it down. But they are certainly not any kind of objective arbiter of the desirability of ACA or AHCA. They’re interested in emptying their emergency rooms which are usually packed with families of Hispanics. Husband, wife, 3-4 kids.
Kaiser is as much of a “non-partisan” as Chuck Schumer is a Conservative Republican.

The CBO also said premiums would go up for all til 2020. Then they’d start decreasing. Yeah right.
