You can’t disagree with that paragraph.

“You can’t disagree with that paragraph.”

Given the amount of money the demonrats poured into this election I can disagree with the paragraph.

The demonrats pulled out all the stops to win this and failed. This was a huge Trump victory.

I don’t disagree with the paragraph but trump has been assaulted for 8 months......she was outspent by a large margin.....the media was pounding her

She won by a lot larger margin than anticipated...anyway you slice it this is a very good win

Sure you can. That district is becoming more and more Democrat as time goes on, due to the influx of blue state refugees voting their same error and also many many middle east refugees resettled that district for many years now.

Did you hear the excitement of the Karen Handel supporters when she thanked President Donald Trump? And their shouting Trump, Trump, Trump? It was clear, Donald Trump really helped Karen Handel win.

You can’t disagree with that paragraph.

Sure you can; because it is misleading and fails MISERABLY because it is only HALF the truth!

"Spending enough money to scald a wet mule (to borrow a phrase from Haley Barbour) to hold on to a district that Tom Price (Trump’s HHS secretary) and Newt Gingrich held is not a sign of Republican health."

If what the Republicans spent is enough to scald a wet mule (at $4mil), then what the Democrat spent is enough to melt the polar caps (at $23mil)! And, the Democrats did just as they usually do in that district - LOSE!

What Jonah did was obfuscate the MAJOR details of what the Democrats spent...because the Republicans wouldn't have needed to spend enough to scald a mule, if the Democrats were not trying to melt the polar caps!

So, the GOP victory on the merits is pretty limited. Spending enough money to scald a wet mule (to borrow a phrase from Haley Barbour) to hold on to a district that Tom Price (Trump’s HHS secretary) and Newt Gingrich held is not a sign of Republican health.

You can’t disagree with that paragraph.

The hell I can't. The demonRATS out spent the pubbies by $10 MILLION when an average house race is won/lost with less than 2 million being spent.

The mere fact that Karen Handel {a less than dynamic candidate} won, is in it self, a small miracle.

You are a caver...SAD.

This election was nationalized...so comparisons to past elections in the district are flawed.

Somebody up thread has pointed out that the rats best chance to gain seats is not by challenging incumbents, but rather winning open seats. To date, they have failed miserably at that, which bodes well for 2018.

Actually that paragraph is completely wrong. It wasn’t even close. It was a pretty standard GA special election result.

And it wasn’t even close despite Democrats dumping $35 millions into the race.

NR needs to stick to DC politics and stay out of analysis of GA politics since they demonstrated here they have NO CLUE what they are talking about here

Yes, knowing the truth, you can.

The “narrative” is that this is such a strong republican district. The truth is that they have been trying to water down republican strength through redistricting since Newt’s days. The truth is the candidate herself is more of an open borders RINO than many would like to see.

So, was Trump repudiated or were the NeverTrump-loving RINOs?
