As moving as the “Kumbaya” moments at the Congressional baseball game were on Thursday, we cannot and should not forget that it was a Bernie Sanders supporter, inspired by what Illinois Republican Congressman Rodney Davis called “political rhetorical terrorism,” that inspired the leftist loon who set out to assassinate Republicans practicing for the charity game.

Bernie Sanders rightly and correctly disavowed the crimes of a volunteer whose actions he could not envision or control. Yet he and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have spent the time since President Trump’s election yelling fire in the political theatre we call democracy, warning endlessly that people will die because of the Trump agenda, painting apocalyptic visions of planetary doom. With them claiming the Republican agenda is dooming the sick, the elderly, and the planet itself, was it so surprising that another liberal infused with the left’s messianic complex, would try to save us all by killing Republicans trying to implement Trump’s agenda?

There sat House Speaker Paul Ryan and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi in a pregame interview making nice and channeling Rodney King’s mantra of can’t we all just get along. As The Hill reported:

Republican and Democratic leaders stressed unity Thursday night as members of both parties gathered for the annual congressional baseball game a day after a gunman opened fire at a practice, injuring House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and three others.

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) appeared together in their first-ever joint interview on CNN, where they offered well wishes for Scalise, who remained in critical condition Thursday evening.

This shooting is a product of the climate of hate created by the progressive left and the Democrats.

They have questioned the legitimacy of President Trump’s election from the moment it happened, plotting action against him (including but not limited to impeachment) from about 10 PM Eastern on November 8.

Left-wing educators have called for Trump’s assassination, and it is only after this shooting that the hypocrites at the Huffington Post pulled an article urging the same.

They have promoted and defended Kathy Griffin and the severed Trump head. they have supported and defended the “assassination” of Trump at Shakespeare in the Park. Madonna said she had given serious thought to blowing up the White House. Snoop dogg pointed a gun at a Trump head, done up like a clown.

Is it any wonder one of their little mind-numbed robots decided that the Republicans needed killing?

Nancy Pelosi needs to be questioned incessantly by the mainstream media as to what were her intentions when she endorsed the actions of the "disrupters" during her Berkeley speech.

Can anyone make a logical case that Nancy Pelosi was not encouraging violence in the home of the Antifa mob hooligans?

If anyone says Obama, Hillary, Gore, or some other Democrat is an ignorant, anti-American scumbag and shouldn’t be allowed near the levers of power, that is racist, sexist, and violent speech, which is going to result in assaults, hate crimes, and persecution of minorities or women.

If a liberal shows a video of some conservative being decapitated, or says we should all be lined up and shot, or worse, well...that isn’t violent speech, it is just freedom of expression.

If there weren’t a heinous double standard, there wouldn’t even be any standards.

The simple truth is that the left will not listen to the right and the right will not listen to the left. The only way this cycle of escalation ends is if each side starts to police it’s own. Simply put, I don’t see that happening on the left.

So we will continue stumbling into a civil war.

I have to wonder if the gunman had been a Trump supporter, or conservative or Republican of any stripe, that info would have been omitted from the article??
