Yep, that looks pretty rough. Clearly they have the emergency pumps working. P250’s or whatever they have been replaced with. It’s been a while since my days in the canoe club. What’s scary is that crunched section of the superstructure is right near where my office was back in the day. Of course I was on a Spruance Class. Not sure where everything is on these new ships.

When I was in the Med we were hit by another ship while med-moored (stern to the quay) in port.
The ship that hit us was also med-moored. A large passenger ferry snapped its mooring lines in a heavy wind storm hitting the ship next to us driving it into us.
We lost 3 stanchions on the O-1 and the captain's gig.

How the Hell does a Navy ship that can track hundreds of surface and airborne targets, run into, or get in the way of, a frigg’n container ship?
In addition to all those really expensive sensors; It should have the advantage of speed and maneuvering!
