Meet DOJ’s Rachel Brand: She’ll Be A Russian Spy By Next Week (Ted Cruz Supporter)
It's Not The Tea Party ^ | 6-16-2017 | The Patriot

Posted on 06/16/2017 12:43:09 PM PDT by blam

Before this morning, most people in the United States had never heard of Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand. But, an ABC story (which we covered here) suggesting that Acting Attorney General Rod Rosenstein may have to recuse himself from overseeing Special Counsel Mueller’s Russia probe, and that Brand would be the next inline to step into that position, changed all that.

So what do we know about Rachel Brand? Well, we know 4 things with absolute certainty:

1.She was appointed by the Trump administration and confirmed on May 18, 2017
2.She is an active contributor to Republican campaigns
3.Democrats hate her
4.Therefore, by the transitive property, we also know with absolute certainty she is a Russian spy

This is how ABC described Brand:

As for Brand, she previously led the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy, and she most recently served as a member of the government’s Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board. She graduated from Harvard Law School and clerked for Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, according to the Justice Department.

Sessions recently said she “has proven herself to be a brilliant lawyer.”

“She is also a dedicated public servant who is strongly committed to upholding the rule of law and our Constitution,” he added.

Of course, a couple of quick internet searches revealed far more ‘suspicious’ discoveries…

First, Brand is clearly a Conservative and has been an active contributor to several Republican campaigns in recent years, including “Ted Cruz For President” and “Ted Cruz For Senate.”

Good. Trump needs to fire both Sessions and Rosenstein. Sessions is a waste and clearly not up to the task of fighting the leftists hand to hand. Rosenstein is a swamp creature. Let Rachel run the show for now and then recess appoint Rudy or Christie in August.

She's married, two kids, Republican, and not bad looking.

I can forgive her Ted Cruz support.

I can forgive you for feeling (no actual thought involved) that "Ted Cruz support" is a thing to be "forgiven".

I read she had maxxed out to Cruz after Trump had the nomination locked up, so she might be a Never Trumper but I hope she is not.

Yikes! I’ll be working on that.

A true, old time conservative I would have thought would easily have recognized the difference between Croooze and Trump on their words from action and the difference between their real world resumes really early. But, alas, so many were caught up in that one song Constitution argument of Croooze they could not see the activist on the ground, the patriotism, and national populism course of Trump, or separate the pompous little nerd from the giant.

Honestly, I’m nervous with Brand. These people are suppose to be smart. Intuitive, she “ain’t” very.

Put a Brand on Rosenstein’s and Mueller’s backsides.

Mueller should recuse himself, too.

I am disappointed in Sessions seeming ability to fold like a cheap tent. There is some conjecture as to whether he ever really needed to recuse and he had several opportunities to cast doubt on Mueller last week. Instead he rips out the usual Republican playbook that he has full confidence in Mueller. And there’s any one of several investigations he could launch tomorrow. The man’s been there since February. He’s beyond ineffective and needs to be show the door. A truly terrible pick by Trump. I think most can agree that there are concrete leadership qualities and accomplishments already evidenced by Mattis, Kelly and Tillerson. Sessions pales mightily next to them all. The difference between a career pop and men of action and distinction.

It’s clearly delineated in DOJ policy that he must recuse, black and white. He also made that commitment during the confirmation process, those that feel otherwise are mis-informed.

What are the odds Rosenstein actually recuses ? I’l believe it when l see it. Especially if the Rats hate Brand. I’ll bet he doesn’t. He’ll say after close consideration l have decided it is unnecessary. He’s a key soldier in the coup. Brand may get Mueller under control and we cannot have that.

She was also an Obama appointee, but the WH seems pretty certain she’s on their team.

Hardly. I was merely pointing to the facts on the ground. There are far too many freepers bashing Sessions about his recusal where there was no option for him but to recuse. The constant drumbeat here of “Sessions is too weak, he should have never recused, Trump should fire him” all denies the reality of the facts. It annoys me.
