I apologize for vanity inch, but this is an important question. The GOP just voted to sell lots of weapons to Saudis, but they can never stop talking about how evil the post-communist Russians are. What gives?

The Saudis have hard petro dollars. Not as much as they used to since oil will probably stay at relatively low prices for decades at least. But plenty.

Tough call. Without a clear definition of “Prostitute”, one can imagine those that want money to spend with little effort to get it, the other likes a good “working stiff.”

Defense Industry spends a crap-ton of money lobbying congress to sell their products to the Saudi’s, and others (Israel, playing both sides of that fence). It’s one reason why the likes of Juan “The Songbird” McCain and his she-crush Linda Grahamnesty never saw a country they didn’t want to invade. As long as their campaign warchests are full they’ll keep chanting “boots on the ground” and pursuing a Whack-a-mole foreign policy in the middle east, and calling the rest of us stupid for not understand the situation. And the planes will keep coming back with flag-draped coffins of our young men and women.
The Saudis provide plenty of money, the Russians don’t.
