Many Bernie supporters are blue-collar democrats that can’t be persuaded to vote GOP but they can be persuaded to be respectful of President Trump, because “Trump is not really a Republican”, at least not the sort that is despised.

American Hospital Association says that Critical means a lot more than that. Look it up.
They were there too as well as Bernie supporters.

I suspect Scalise’s condition at the ball field was originally critical but stable. The “critical” designation was likely withheld pending notification of family, etc.

He’s been through a very stressful situation, trauma and all.
They need to keep him under close observation. This may have as much to do with that as anything else.
Part of the problem is that he was more critical to begin with than we were led to believe. When an adequate assessment was performed at the hospital, they saw him as more critical.
Can’t say for sure, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him lowered from critical in 24-48 hours.
Or just the fact that they put him into ICU to increase his level of care

Just going by experience with family who recently suffered stroke and stroke like symptoms. She was addressed directly and put in critical care unit for the reasons I stated.
I don’t doubt the definition you and others are citing...but doctors and hospitals undoubtedly have the ability to tailor policies that suit the conditions. I think that is what happened to my relative; she was fully conscious and recovering but still was watched extremely closely.
I agree with you, and would love to know the truth of what is found in the perp’s toxicology report.
