“TIME WARNER CEO Defends Funding ‘Assasination’ Play...”

Well known to be a rabid, drooling leftist.

"A gunman believed1 to be a supporter of former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders sprayed2 a hail of bullets at a GOP baseball practice Wednesday morning, critically wounding House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and injuring four others3 before U.S. Capitol Police took down the rifle-wielding assailant."

1: The gunman worked for the Bernie Sanders campaign. Sanders confirmed this on the floor of the House of Representative. LINK

2: This man did not spray the area with a hail of bullets. He purposefully aimed at "Republicans" by intent, and wounded five people on purpose.

3: You don't spray an area and hit five people. This confirms how many people where hit, and that the description of merely spraying the area with bullets, was a gross mischaracterization.

The networks need to get back to solid reporting.

These guys are going to continue this until they themselves are targeted. Then they’ll think it’s so unfair that they were.

This is a fools game.

You are so right. Back when our firm represented some on-air talent, the rule was, first, get it right.

When Frank Reynolds was given the name of Reagan-shooter John Hinkley, re refused to air it until it was triple confirmed.

His on-air line to an off-screen reporter was. Look, we’re about to ruin the lives of an American family forever. Let’s make sure he have it right before we do!

Last night, one of the nets had a vapid blonde on who claimed to be former ATF agent who said a semi-automatic pistol fired once each time the shooter pulled the trigger, whereas a SEMI-automatic RIFLE fired the whole magazine very rapidly with ONE pull of the trigger.

Nice mention of Reynolds there. Good for him.

As for the ATF “weapons expert”, confirms my suggestion for what should happen to the whole agency, top to bottom.

Fire them and block them from ever working in law enforcement, security, or investigative work ever again.

They as a whole seem to fail to grasp who they work for, and that there can be things done that are unreasonable.

Nope, totally worthless to us...

Not a single person stood up and said what happened in Waco with the Davidians was wrong.

I’d fire every single one of them who failed to do so.

That’s everyone.

I think it’s more of a leadership problem, as opposed to all the “troops.”

Schwarzkopf wrote about taking over a very “bad” infantry battalion in RVN. He brought in a new XO, a new S3, fired two company commanders and their first sergeants, and brought in one of his “old soldiers” as the SMJ.

In 45 days, they were the best unit in the Division, and damned proud of it. And since his boss was Gunfighter Emerson, that was walking in some pretty tall cotton!

People down the chain do what is expected of them, and what their leaders do by example. Examples, Patton in North Africa, his son in RVN with the 11th ACR.

Kennedy and Clinton? It was “Hide the Salami” time in DC, and that worked it way all the down to the lowest position. Under Reagan, it was accomplishment!

Thanks for the nice post.

There is reasoned room for push-back, to my comments. When it comes to a law enforcement agency that there is a question of need for or not anymore, I’d opt for doing away with the agency.

I do appreciate your examples.

I love the old line:

“I think ‘Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms’ should described the items on the shelves at a convenience store, not a federal agency.”

Have a good weekend.
