Were misrepresentations made by Comey and other Obama/Clinton swamp rats to Rosenstein in order to falsely induce the appointment of a Special Counsel?

Did Rosenstein know there was NO criminal investigation of Trump going on in the FBI, contrary to all the reporting in the press?

And did Rosenstein know there was no legitimate basis after months of counterintelligence investigation by Comey and the Obama intel agencies for even beginning a criminal investigation of Trump or the Trump campaign regarding alleged Russian hacking?

If Trump was not under criminal investigation and there was no legitimate basis to commence a criminal investigation of Trump, then what was the “conflict of interest” requiring the appointment of an independent Special Counsel?

Wasn’t there in fact NO conflict of interest, because the impression given in the press from anonymous leakers that that there was a legitimate basis for a criminal investigation of Trump or his campaign was false?

Shouldn’t the appointment of the Special Counsel be nullified because it was based on false inducement?

Paraphrasing for those not able to put in the time: Senator Reed: (to McCabe) You are not commenting on the conversations between you and Comey because the conversations between Trump and Comey are under Criminal Investigation or may be under Criminal Investigation, is that correct? McCabe answered yes.

Remember this hearing happened a day before Comey’s testimony.

***
I noticed that too. More attention should be paid to that entire hearing with Coats, Rogers, McCabe and Asst Atty Gen.
Looking back, my impression after hearing Comey was that they didn’t want to reveal a private conversation with POTUS, because they had info about Comey’s testimony? Or perhaps as the section mentioned in the post, they knew it was now a criminal investigation?

Lordy, if only the people would open their eyes to see and understand how they are being led like lambs. What was seen by any who saw clearly this week has surpassed all which was seen before.

Trump pardons Flynn for his minor offense, fires Mueller as he is tainted by his association with Comey telling Congress to hire an untainted SP to investigate election hacking and then goes on TV to say that when he met privately with Comey he was only following Comey’s lead from their first meeting and, that in retrospect he should have listened to Priebus and not done so. And that since Comey did not report it to Justice as required by law apparently Comey only felt it was an issue after he was fired.

This was the statement from the CURRENT President Trump's Lawyer: You know, the one who still has a job, isnt testifying for his ass in front of the House, and has legal authority in matters such as these,

"Mr. Comey admitted that he unilaterally and surreptitiously made unauthorized disclosures to the press of privileged communications with the President.

The leaks of this privileged information began no later than March 2017 when friends of Mr. Comey have stated he disclosed to them the conversations he had with the President during their January 27, 2017 dinner and February 14, 2017 White House meeting.

Today, Mr. Comey admitted that he leaked to friends his purported memos of these privileged conversations, one of which he testified was classified.

He also testified that immediately after he was terminated he authorized his friends to leak the contents of these memos to the press in order to “prompt the appointment of a special counsel.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The last one listed involves CONSPIRACY, with multiple people, against the U.S. Government.
Comey is going to prison. And I hope he rolls over on The Cankle too!
Rosenstein and McCabe are the traitors within. Obama would never have tolerated such enemy agents for a single day. Yet if Trump canned either one, he would face calls of impeachment.
I suspect that's an question for which there are no precedents, and therefore it would undoubtedly be fought through the entire court system, up and down, several times, before it was resolved.
And even then, the resolution would probably be seen as politically tainted by both sides, and would be something of a pyrrhic victory in any event.
I'm not saying DJT shouldn't try it; there may well be more subtle reasons for going forward that I can't visualize.
I would think that the President's team would wait for more information to come out about Comey and the way he operated as FBI director and before. More damning evidence about Hillary and her capon cabal will surely come out as well, the combined effect will probably be to make Mueller's job look more and more superfluous.
PING!!!
Article and comments, esp link #3 video, #17, #27
So, what we have here is a fired FBI director, who leaked private material to the press, so he could get his friend appointed as a special counsel in order to take retribution on the President – with the aid of a department full of federal lawyers who would have rather seen Hillary in the White House. And we are supposed to believe this will be an objective, unbiased investigation?
thanks, Enlightened1
The MSM and DC elites really really think we are so damn stupid. Let us sum up how the hell we got here.
During the election a false and completely fabricated rationale was constructed to allow an opposition administration to unmask Trump campaign personnel, spy on them and send that information to candidate Clinton and her team. Moreover, pressure was placed on the FBI director to tank a real criminal investigation (based on a real law) focusing on Clinton. Even Mr. Obama himself, not having to rely on Twitter and instead relying on his MSM Lackeys, went so far as to declare the Clinton had not broken the law. (No obstruction to see there, no siree Bob).
Even worse and more sinister is that the FBI failed to investigate the obvious pay for play scheme that was the Clinton Foundation and its DIRECT links to the Clinton campaign. Can anyone say today that any investigation was conducted?
Regardless, it was assumed that Clinton would be elected and that all these misdeeds would be buried as quickly as Vince Foster was. Not so lucky, TRUMP WINS!!! The Obama Admin went into panic mode and decided to double down on the concocted Russian collusion gambit. And why not, they had an Army of deeply embedded political bureaucratic appointees at their disposal who would long survive the expiration of Mr. Obama’s term.
Soon after the election, it started ever so subtly with the Captain Obvious theory that Russia had interfered with the election. Well, no duh, they and every hostile foreign power is always trying to screw with the democratic process. But were they doing anything more sinister than the DNC itself had done to Bernie Sanders?
They dropped this Captain Obvious factoid on the public and backed it up with “the consensus” of the intelligence agencies. Trump, seeing where this was going said fine but that isn’t why Hillary lost. The MSM angry at him for jumping the gun said, of course not we are just saying Captain Obvious, do you refute that!?!? How could anyone refute the Caption Obvious.
Now the conflation came. The conflation any fool who knows the MSM could see coming. Captain Obvious (Russian trying to interfere with our election became Trump worked with them and encouraged them to do so). Trump saw this coming, we saw it coming but regardless, the MSM did what it always does and extended us the middle finger. Now the DC elites hopped on it and voila, there was the conspiracy theory needed for the Dems and their looney followers to latch onto as to why the election did not count.
But it spiraled from there into not only does the election not count, it should be reversed. As much as “Bush stole Florida” was a rallying cry for the Dems in 2000 they used it to disrespect Bush but never to call for his impeachment. Now the Dems are broaching new territory with “although there are no facts AT THIS TIME, this is a serious charge that could lead to Trump’s impeachment.”
It has been plain for a while that the left is tired of the risks elections pose to its hegemony and want a vehicle to insulate themselves from it. Criminalizing the opposition is the perfect way. Relying on an entrenched liberal Deep State and super legislature courts is also a perfect way.
At the heart of the Russian Collusion gambit, is it not funny that no underlying crime was alleged? In fact Trump was never under investigation and even if there was a crime there was NO, ZERO evidence of Trump engaging in any collusion. Regardless, the Deep State (Comey as a primary agent) refused to announce Trump was clear, although he leaked just about every other damn thing. Instead, the Deep State continued to leak false information that there was collusion. They used the information to de facto seize control of the Justice Department.
Aiding and abetting in that was Chazz Shoooomah. He ensured that all the President’s nominee would be slow walked so that the Obama holdovers could remain in power and continue to undermine Trump and, really, the election. Shoemah and the rest of the democrats knew full well that Trump was never under investigation and neither was his campaign. Nonetheless, they vociferously called for a special counsel, something that was never even broached when Obama was misusing the IRS to punish his political appointments (racism to call for that, don’t cha know).
When no special counsel was appointed, it was leak time. And based upon a memo that NOBODY to this day has even seen, a memo that reflects one party’s recollection of a two person conversation, a memo that if it does exist should not have been leaked, a memo or whatever it is that was leaked in response to a tweet that didn’t happen until after the memo was leaked, YA BASED ON THAT MEMO, a special counsel was appointed. And what a winner for a special counsel we have!! He is the buddy of the guy who BY HIS OWN ADMISSION, was the driver in getting him appointed and leaking said memo.
And now that a special counsel has been appointed, its “Russia what Russia!?! Collusion, oh, we was just kidding bout that. Its all about obstruction of justice now!!”
Yes, obstruction of justice of an investigation that started last year by a democrat admin into a Republican candidate. An investigation that should have never happened in the first place, into a crime that doesn’t exist and, even if it did, for which no evidence existed or exists that it was committed. An investigation that is going on so that it can justify its existence in the first place and then continue to investigate in the second place.
What I have described above is so obvious that even a damn simpleton like me can see it. Yet our betters in the MSM and DC think they are just sooo clever. Chaz Schoomah thinks a cutie and clever coup d’etat is the way to go. The Animal Farm gang believes that the single greatest violation of civil liberties in the history of this country will simply be accepted by the masses. They should think the hell again!!
Verdict first, jury later. Well, they can stick it as far as I am concerned. What is happening to Trump will be the pattern for everyone and anyone who opposes the state.
The question is now whether Republicans in Congress will have the courage to stand with President Trump and fight the deep state that was personified in Comey’s testimony Thursday.
If the Republicans in Congress don't stand with Trump, then the Deep State will win.
Special Prosecutor to go after Comey and his friend.
Special Prosecutor to go after Loretta Lynch manipulating an investigation.
Special Prosecutor to go after Bill Clinton for The Clinton Foundation, and interference in an FBI investigation.
Special Prosecutor to go after Hillary Clinton for The Clinton Foundation, the felonious email server and a cover-up of Benghazi.
Special Prosecutor to go after Susan Rice for Benghazi and spying on Americans.
Special Prosecutor to go after Barack Hussein Obama for spying on Americans.
Special Prosecutor to go after Barack Hussein Obama and Eric Holder for Fast and Furious.
Special Prosecutor to look into the Seth Rich murder. Wayne Allen Root says the U.S. Attorney in that area is Debbie Wasserman’s brother.
OK, those are the 8 Special Prosecutors to go after the Democrat insurgents off the top of my head.
[If the Republicans in Congress don’t stand with Trump, then the Deep State will win. ]
If Comey isn’t prosecuted for the felony(felonies) he committed (sounds like 2; 1) leaking info 2) destruction of evidence) and Mueller is allowed to fraudulently attack the President, this country is toast.
Because the rule of law doesn’t apply to Democrats and Republicans are complicit if they do nothing.
