RIP Mr. West.
L
OH NO...RIP...
I remember sitting with my two older children and watching Bat Man and Robin...
Oh I will miss him...
Every morning while getting ready for school, one of the handful of stations we received would air Batman reruns. It was a fun show due in no small part to its lead actor. RIP
In 1966 we had a 10 year old friend from church dying of cancer, big Batman fan as we all were, Batman called him in the hospital.
Thank you Adam West, you were a real hero too.
So long, Old Chum.
Also, great in “Family Guy”! RIP Mr. West.
Loved the Batman movie. One of the funniest I’ve ever seen. RIP to Adam West.
See you on the same Bat Channel to that place we will arrive.
I met him at a car show back when I was 17. I stood in line with a bunch of little kids to get an autographed photo.
When I got to talk to him, I shook his hand and said, ‘Batman! You were SUCH a part of my childhood that I just had to come and say Hello to you!’
And he said, ‘Well, Young Lady, how would you like to be a part of my life, tonight?’ *WINK*
We laughed, and I pointed out my big, strong, football-player boyfriend, but I still got the autograph and photo!
Propositioned by Batman! Well, I never, LOL!
My Mom has the photo, with her Matt Kenseth autograph - she gave him an x-ray when he broke his collar bone after a crash. Our only brushes with FAME, LOL!
RIP, Mr. West! *SMOOCH*
No doubt he lived a long, good life but still you are a bit teary eyed to see someone like him go. One favourite non-Batman role of his was playing the actor whose stunt double Burt Reynolds was in 1978’s “Hooper”. Anyone here remember that one, as it was another decent outing of Burt’s during the Smokey and the Bandit/Sally Field years?
Well, there goes another part of my childhood. R.I.P. Adam West. Thanks for entertainment and fun.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him.
I just got his autograph a few months ago, RIP
Was also very funny playing himself in The Big Bang Theory as well ...
He was the animated version of Leslie Nielsen! RIP. Thanks to Seth MacFarlane for hiring him.
Another part my my youth............I distinctly remember having to have a Batman ring, so with part of my allowance in hand I walked down to the Grocery Store threw it in the Vending machine and out came my Rubber ring.
RIP. West seemed like decent chap. Julie Newmar referred to him as the best Batman.
