Not sure what you mean about a lying headline, but this has been my idea for a while. Enhanced penalties for crimes committed by those in this country illegally. Yeah, including the Irish.
I was talking about where it says “enhancing immigrant sentences” as if the new law was targeting actual immigrants.
Haslam is a liberal RINO who backs common core. He only signed it because TN has a Rep majority in state gov. Personally, I cannot stand him.
And JFTR, I have zero sympathy or tolerance for Irish illegals myself.

Courts have ruled in favor of slaveowners and separate but equal in the past, too.
And it took a war and a few constitutional amendments to straighten that out.

Straightened out, huh? Got a pay stub and tax bill (property) that shows otherwise; they just call it ‘investing’, ‘charity’ or any other number of flowery terms.
Back on point, I wish they’d have passed where judges MUST give the greatest sentence possible to illegals; plus, confiscation of all properties.
He would do better spending what time is left of his LAME DUCK session, EMPTYING OUT TN’s DEATH ROW!
When the last Dem gov Breseden was in office there were 100 on DR. Under Halsam there are 61. Several ready for execution, and he refuses to sign the death warrants. 1 raped/beat/ killed a 8 yr old girl in 1990. 27 going on 28 yrs waiting for what passes for LIBERAL justice.
We have 1 150 bed juvy prison for violent offenders, many who were tried as adults, and have to be housed as juvies until they are 18. Most come out of Memphis. We lack bed space for violent females too, 3 small prisons are not enough, and we lack bed space for males too. So they are released early to go back to a life of violent crime.
But they do treat juveniles more lenient than older citizens. Violations that would get fines or revoking of licenses are ignored and dismissed. DUI laws are ignored, some have 20 or more offenses and of course those who are on the City or County councils are excused from prosecution and prison time.
