“What is his former law enforcement experience?”
ZERO since being crime boss for the Fraud’s/Clintons’ FBI, but he was Dep. Atty Gen for W, whatever the heck that entailed.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Comey
He has
And if this is his statement, then it proves he’s a liar and a perjurer
As if we didn’t know that before
A printed version of his testimony is out, that’s where this is coming from.
I get what you are saying..but this is the world of legal speak and congressional hearings. Nuanced Words makes a difference...
but in the end..does it really make a difference?? that is your point.
I don’t know as I am not familiar with obstruction of justice in this setting. They both claim they didn’t feel pressured.
So as someone pointed out..it comes down to ASK versus DEMAND..
so based on their testimony one could conclude that they were Asked but there was no DEMAND..
It’s not for him to say whether or he committed obstruction of justice. All he can testify to is what he says he was told by Trump.
I hope you have a nice day!
Same thing.
absolutely nothing new, is this a joke?
“This is news? He already said this.”
Exactly. This is old news and President Trump did nothing wrong.
Thanks for posting.
Even “asking a favor” is unwise at best. When the FBI is investigating one of your people, the best thing to do is to keep clear and not say anything whatsoever about it to the director of the FBI.
The problem here that Trump gave Comey a suggestion which was not in any way pressure to change his course of investigation.
I give this analogy: Suppose a week before Christmas your 10 year old son tells his mother, “I hope Santa gives me a new 50-inch flat screen T.V.” The mother, knowing the cost and its bad effects on her son, would know it was wishful thinking and know a 50-inch flat screen T.V. was not going to happen. If she felt her son’s Christmas hopes was pressure, she did not understand her responsibility as a parent.
“Obstruction of justice.”
Not even close.
By law Comey has to turn over such evidence... he cannot withhold it... That is the law...
This was allegedly told to him in December... and he never reported it... That is obstruction...
There’s another article posted just above this that says the direct opposite.
LOLOLOL!!!
Fox reporting on Comey’s preliminary statement is practically the opposite. Their commentators are saying that Comey has refuted the significant accusations, and even verifies that he did tell Trump once in person and twice on the phone that he was not under investigation.
I haven’t read the Comey written statement, but that’s how Fox has covered it.
I heard Comeys opening lie has been released? Why not release the entire script of this farce?

At first when I watched CNN’s coverage of this I was angry. Then I read Comey’s opening remarks and realized that on the whole Comey’s remarks help Trump far more than hurt him. In addition, they fail to paint any illegal action on the part of the President. What they show is probably what goes on between every President and his underlings. The difference here is that we normally are not privy to these types of conversations. But in the Trump era, no act of betrayal by those who are supposed to serve him is too little.
Having said that, I realized how utterly out of touch CNN has become. They think that they speak for Trump’s base. They actually said that he will lose his base over this. Essentially, they are stating that Comey is God and the base will never forgive Trump for blasphemy against God.
How sad and what a gift that CNN still does not get it. They just do not get that they, CNN are viewed as the devil incarnate by Trump’s supporters and now probably most of America as this noting burger comes to fruition.
