I'm now convinced that the reaction to Trump withdrawing from the Paris accords is really about legitimizing setting aside the Constitution when it gets in the way of the liberal agenda.

I said last week that if the Paris deal was so important, it was important to do it right.

Demagogues like Al Gore want to normalize bypassing Congress by declaring that the crisis is too important to take the time to seek the consent of the governed (and let's face it -- what's more important than preventing the destruction of the Earth?).

Once they succeed in getting the people to accept extra-constitutional action, the left will declare everything to be too important to waste time deliberating the validity of "alt-facts," and will move to regularize unilateral action.

The left will have succeeded in setting aside the Constitution once and for all.

Yes, Rush, Ginsburg's speech was a more glaring violation because Trump was still a private-citizen candidate when he spoke, but Ginsburg was as sitting federal Supreme Court Associate Justice.

Friendly suggestion for the Government. Make a list of all current holders of Top Secret clearances. Cross check the list with all persons on Facebook and Twitter. Yank the clearances of persons who are making anti Trump statements.
