She’s F’ing 25 YEARS OLD!!! WHY would you give a KID a TOP SECRET Security Clearance????? STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!! WHO is her SUPERIOR??? DUMB.
At the age of 21 I was a Communications operator on a TACAMO aircraft with the highest clearances the government had to offer.
I was responsible for send “the end of the world” message to ballistic missile submarines. And I handled all the crypto etc.
21 is PLENTY old enough to go to prison. Just ask Merle Haggard.
25 years old is NOT a “kid”. The rest of your post is idiotic.
I knew dozens of Airmen with TS/SCI clearances that were in their early 20’s.
You would be shocked to find out who has secret and top secret clearances, both in the government and contractors.
A contractor means that she wasn’t enployed by the government...
FEMINISM DESTROYED FEMALES!
Exactly! Our government seems to be clueless.
I was 25 years old and had a top secret clearance as a contractor with Hughes Aircraft Co. for the department of defense. It is not the age of the person it is the vetting of their background and qualifications, and the responsibility most importantly is on the holder of the information making it visible to the least amount human contact need to know and ability to track access and contact to the data. Access logs to buildings, safes, computers, terminals, printers, etc...When this is coordinated and done properly you can determine who leaked information by the limited access as was done in this case.
Frankly, there are a lot of ‘kids’ with top secret clearances, and have been for a long time.
They were just better vetted, and were expected to be mature and pro-American.
IIRC pretty much anyone who serves in or repairs an American submarine has one.
I've had a TS since younger than 25. I've had a Secret since I was 17 (yes, 17). [I was a communications maintenance person -- we ALL had clearances and depending upon assignment the clearance was either S or TS and many of us were read into SCI]
There are a lot of people in the military who, by their AFSC/MOS/Rate, by itself, are going to hold TS or SCI clearances. There are a whole lot of people who, by their duty assignments, are going to hold TS clearances.
Do you think special operations people should be only 26+? How about crypto maintenance? How about nuclear weapons maintenance? How about aircraft maintenance on B-2's? How about missileers? and so on and so forth.
She was a contractor for Pluribus International Corporation. They're the ones who held her clearance. It's not that hard for a 25-year old to get a TS clearance, since they don't have much of a background to check: clean nose, no funny associations like your uncle is a NORK native or your Dad is a skinhead, etc.; no bankruptcies, and so forth.
How many 25-year olds have TS clearances? Hundreds, I'd guess. Do they keep close tabs on these yutes? Hmm. Maybe not as well as they oughta.
BTW, because she was caught, Pluribus is probably in for a world of hurt - unless of course, they have it in with a powerful Senator somewhere (a lot of these contracting companies do).
Quit drinking while posting!
Then take a baby aspirin to keep from stroking out!
HA! college interns have top secret clearances. they have student accounts setup to access the Top Secret, Secret, and Unclassified networks of NSA and DIA.
They probably gave her clearance because they knew she’d be stupid enough to do the leaking for them.
“Shes Fing 25 YEARS OLD!!! WHY would you give a KID a TOP SECRET Security Clearance”
When in the Army I worked for an outfit where everyone, yes, everyone, had a TS clearance. Many were 17 & 18. I got mine at 18. I’d guess the average age was mid 20’s.
During this 4 year hitch I do not think anyone leaked anything.
I had a Top Secret/SCI clearance at age 18 while serving in the US Army.
Age has nothing to do with it.
Because they work cheaper than experienced 35 year old people.
I had one when I was 20.
And people far older than this girl have committed treason.
Age is not the pertinent factor here.
I had a top secret security clearance at 17 in the Navy. I don’t think secrets could have been any safer. She, Rice Clinton, Abedin and Comey should all do time.
Geesh. I had one at 19 years old.
I worked on TS code word stuff. Couldn’t do my duties without the clearances!
