If you pay your own way, and I doubt it, then privatizing ATC should be just fine. For what its worth I’m friends with a GS14 type at FAA and several private pilots. I know what I spend on my hobbies and what these pilots do.
You and I seem to agree completely. Not sure where the subsidized playboy flyers idea is coming from, but General Aviation has always been our seed corn for new pilots. Let Corporate, biz jets and commercial pay for the ATC system, and let GA enjoy the benefits when absolutely required, which is not very often.
I have to believe in todays world, an air traffic controller ought to be able to work at home for his or her shift. A big screen TV, a computer, and some comm gear? Maybe I am being too simplistic. We will shortly see what people who want in to what Trump is suggesting will propose as the fix.

If it were a plane, that’s what I’d likely be charged.
