The Marxists knew this and that was their plan-—destroy and control the minds of the masses (Hollywood run by sodomites to destroy virtue and warp desires and create envy, etc) and the school curricula which erased all Classical Christian curricula by 1950s so they could flip the worldview of little children-—into evil, corrupt non-thinking masses.

Very illuminating case, although Professor Weinstein appears still to be a bit dimmed by ideology. He'll brighten up or find another job.

Reason does tend to be confounded by unreason, rather stupidly in my opinion, because it happens all the time. The good Professor appears to be laboring under the misapprehension that these "student" demands are intended to address legitimate grievances; they are nothing of the sort, they are not appeals to reason, they are intended first to dominate, and then to humiliate. The people making them know this perfectly well. Why, then, does an educated man find it so difficult to comprehend?

Evergreen has for quite some time been subjected to this systemic academic rot. Its current president, who was identified in another article as, God help us, a sociologist, is demonstrably too weak for the position and Weinstein's colleague in the Media department is openly complicit with information warfare against a fellow faculty member. As a STEM professor he is a class enemy. As a white (strike one) man (strike two) of reason (strike three) he is a target. As to where does this violence end, that is very well-established in history: it ends in the cattle cars. There is no excuse for any educated person in the 21st century not to know this.

Again, the guy needs to feel a sense of failure, that after all of his trips to Ecuador, he never had any faithful disciples, probably they sensed he was a ship without a rudder. I think the student body is WISE and has seen through the empty heads of the Evergreen University.
