Last night’s attack on London Bridge and at Borough Market was actually over in under ten minutes, though the confusion and chaos in the aftermath stretched through the night as officials sorted out the details. As of this morning the damage toll stands at 7 dead and nearly 50 injured. Full credit goes to London’s first responders who reportedly shot and killed all three attackers in very short order and locked down the area efficiently so the investigation could begin. How much of a “network” existed in support of those three killers will likely not be known for days, if not weeks, but the authorities there are once again quick out of the gate and have arrested a dozen people in less than twelve hours. (Good job, folks.)
In the meantime, we saw two very different responses from the Mayor of London and the the Prime Minister. London Mayor Sadiq Khan, the first Muslim to hold that office, did manage to acknowledge the damage which had been done, but immediately fell back on a well practiced line indicating perhaps a bit more optimism than is warranted. This segment from Fox News includes the Mayor’s comments, along with a response from from Mustafa Tameez, a DHS consultant under President George W. Bush.
There’s no reason to be alarmed. One of the things the police and all of us need to do is make sure that we’re as safe as we possibly can be.
I’m reassured that we are one of the safest global cities in the world, if not the safest global city in the world.

I’m reminded of Marion Barry saying that if you didn’t count the murders, Washington DC had a low crime rate.
China can be 99.9% Chinese and that’s cool. Israel is a jewish homeland, Africa can be 98% black- but as soon as 2 or more White people are within 500 yards of one another— it has to be a “Global City.” Put this Khan POS in a train and send him to a camp for immediate evacuation

Hmmm. Thanks for the re-assurance there London ‘mare’ ali kahn or whatever your name is. Anyone read that 3 of the DEAD perps were wearing “fake” suicide vests? Nobody too concerned that they could just as easily have been REAL suicide vests? Is that why the armed bobbies killed them? To prevent them setting off the vests. How would you know they were fake? Kinda like some dumb ass holding a realistic looking BB pistol. I’ve got a Colt Defender BB pistol and I can guarantee that from 20 feet you wouldn’t know. Maybe even closer. And it will take out an evil bunny or two.

And what’s with England NOT arming ALL of it’s law enforcement? They are imbeciles for living back in the ‘good ole days’ where their bobbies only had batons and expecting that to be sufficient in today’s world!

Never understood why London needed a mayor. They’ve had 3 disastrous ones so far.
It was weird seeing the guy from The King’s Speech in that movie.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan, a muslim, declares his city the safest in the world after repeated attacks by his fellow muslims ... Compared to Baghdad? Tokyo? New York?
On the other hand, he has said such attacks by his fellow muslims are the new normal ... (and everyone should get used to having their friends and family killed by muslims on a near daily basis).
Can anyone recall when Tokyo,most certainly a "global city",last has a jihadist fatality? IIRC the answer is *never*.
Nothing will change until millions of Muslims are killed, and I mean many millions. Those Muslim pigs who claim the mantle of moderation are supplying the money to their mass murdering brothers and sisters. Boycott any business where you see one.
I’m reminded of every city and country in the world where Africans and Muslims rule.
They are now praising a bobby who confronted the terrorists in the first moments “with only a baton” (which was brave indeed), and the officer got stabbed for his trouble, but they can’t seem to ask themselves how much better it would have been if that bobby had a gun!!!!!
Think about it, Londoners, a brave officer was in the scene as the first seconds of the attacks unfolded, but HE HAD NO GUN.
He could have ended the terrorists very quickly IF HE HAD A GUN.
