Donald Trump's potential science adviser...CO2 is 'good' and US should withdraw from Paris

An academic tipped to be President Donald Trump's White House Science Adviser has called for the United States to withdraw from the Paris climate accord.

Professor William Happer, a Princeton physicist, told The Telegraph in an interview: "I hope he will. Our friends in Europe wanted it so everybody had to sign up but it's a complete waste. ...

"It (the Paris agreement) is not going to hurt the environmentalists, it's going to hurt people in Asia and Africa and I think it's profoundly immoral. What people there need is electricity you can afford. Prosperity, what's wrong with that? This is an example of human folly."

Most of the article is behind a pay wall, but this should be the gist of it.

I see Trump likely got sound science advice. :-)

The full title is,

"Donald Trump's potential science adviser believes CO2 is 'good' and US should withdraw from Paris climate deal "

President Trump, when he announces we’re pulling out of the so-called “agreement”, hopefully will state that he will not endorse the multi-trillion dollar misallocation of resources that the agreement would require to advance a HOAX. Just because Germany, Spain and other countries are stupidly doing that doesn’t mean America has to make the same mistake. I feel sorry for the German, Spanish & other European citizens who have to vastly overpay for their energy needs because of their governments’ actions. President Trump cares MUCH more for his country’s citizens than the European leaders care for theirs.

A physics professor from Princeton University vs. Bill Nye who has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Gee, it’s really hard to determine who I should give more credence to. /s

The plants we eat sure like it.

Yup! Not only do they like it...they require it to live.

Furthermore, many tasty protein sources eat those plants too!

CO2 is vital to the survival of life as we know it on our pla et.

Now it’s “controversial” that plants love CO2?

CO2 may be good but for crying out fricken loud- there isn’t nearly enough of it released by man to do a damn thing to change the climate- the total amount of CO2 released by man takes up just 0.00136% of the atmosphere- that’s it folks-

Stop with all the freakin nonsense and call this what is is, a lie, a hoax- man is NOT causing climate change! We don’t release anywhere near enough CO2 to do so

And besides, CO2 does not cause climate change- temperatures always rise first=- then 800 years or so later CO2 rises- proving that CO2 is NOT driving climate change!

it is high time the republicans find a backbone and and declare ‘man-caused climate change a hoax- our officials NEED to stop capitulating to the left by saying things like “Yeah, CO2 is released by man, but it’s good’ this gives the left and their agenda more ammunition- Kill the lie that man is causing climate change once and for all- stop making excuses for not signing by saying things like ‘it will hurt the poor’- because that is just a symptom of the lie- it’s NOT the actual lie itself- kill the lie- ‘man-caused climate change once and for all

CO2 isn’t causing the temperature to rise, it’s real effect is causing taxes to rise to unsustainable levels.

Is it too much to ask for scientists to follow the truth and defy the conventional, politically correct wisdom of the day?

Armed with a clear and non-politicized command of scientific facts from his own observations, Galileo stood up to the Spanish Inquisition.  In the same way, we Americans should standup to Globalist control over what we believe.

The Climate Control Fanatics claim the Earth will be unbearable 100 years from when man causes the Earth's temperature to increase by one degree.

Meanwhile their ivory-tower soothsayers can't even closely predicting -- 3 months ahead of time -- the number North Atlantic hurricanes or major storms that will occur in the next hurricane season.

So if computer prediction models are in dreadful error 3 months in advance, imagine how accurate their 100 year predictions are.  It's time to kill the government owned and funded NOAA because their science sucks. Farm it out to private industry and pay for their accuracy of prediction.

But let's suppose for a moment that these bogus "scientists" are correct and that the earth will be one degree higher in temperature in 100 years.  Well, big deal, the earth is a little bit hotter, yet life would still be tolerable -- and Canada would thrive.

However, common sense tells me: if Leftist and Globalist policies continue unabated over the next 20 years, then free, safe, and prosperous human life will not be sustainable on this planet.

I realize that most reporters and writers know next to nothing about science, because, you know, science and math are hard. Plus, there are concrete facts proven by science and math.

Like the fact that life on earth would not exist without CO2. Too much CO2 is bad, just like too much oxygen, or water is bad. CO2 occurs naturally through many different sources. Breathing. Fires. Volcanic eruptions.

CO2 is a good thing.

Photosynthesis could not occur without CO2.

Cellular respiration is what We do, and is basically the opposite of what plants do.

"Donald Trump's potential science adviser believes CO2 is 'good' and US should withdraw from Paris climate deal "

For starters, we need to take the science out of the discussion and recognize the Paris Accord for what it really is; a massive transfer of hundreds of billions of dollars from wealthy countries to poor countries (with the United States shouldering the overwhelming majority of this financial transfer). It has nothing to do with saving the planet, other than the fake scare of "climate change" was a useful tool to get the public to buy into it.

Out of all the "bad deals" the U.S. has signed on to, the Paris Accord was probably the worst and I will not rest easy until Trump has driven a stake through its heart. I'm worried he's taken this long to kill it.
