She’s a globalist. Like most globalists, she seeks to weaken the US (and Russia) to bring about a new world-wide government. Because it’s always been about power and control to the left. They ALWAYS seek to rule the world.

Gihadists - just tools in the left’s war against a free society and the western world.

Simple answers are a no-no.

The masters use nuance so that the serfs may remain confused.

Nuance is now my #1 most-despised word.

Merkel was born in 54 in East Germany. She damn sure does not recall nor did she ever see the bombed out ruins of portions of West German inner cities still visible in 1957. She never saw some of the West Germans digging through US military families garbage cans for food even in late 59. She was obviously shielded by the East German patrol’s boats on the river plus their presence along the border. People like her cannot dazzle us with their intelligence, so; they attempt to baffle us with her bull sh-t.

If Europe truly believes that Global Warming is causing all their problems, then Europe can pay to fix those problems. No need for the US to contribute anything. Notice how they didn’t mention anything about us removing our 53,000 plus troops and their families from Germany.

This is complicated:
“In fact, the building cost an astounding $1.23 billion, according to a budget released by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Architecture, design, and quality management cost the alliance $129 million alone. Audio visual installations ran $29 million, while construction ran $514 million, the document states.

The new building can hold:

The alliance bragged that the structure is also a “green building for the future.”

“The environment and sustainability have played a major role in the design process. The new building’s energy consumption has been optimized through the use of geothermal and solar energy and advanced lighting systems. Thermal insulation, thermal inertia and solar protection have been incorporated in the design to reduce heating. Rainwater will be used for non-potable water use and the buildings short wings will have green roofs,” the document states.”

This isn’t:

“Trump said NATO would be “stronger” in fighting terrorism if member states paid their obligations.”

And another thing, Chancellor Merkel. Trump represents the USA. We elected him.

Agree. In fact, I think she is worse at times. They both have just let themselves go.

Merkel has been looking really sloppy lately. The way she showed up at the WH a month or two ago.

We would be fools to agree with NATO’s defense now as Germany and France plus others have set the stage for huge revolts/takeovers by Muslims living within.

As far as NATO goes, there is only one solution - higher defense expenditures for the shirkers.

Modern warfare is inherently mechanized and capitol intensive. It is also incredibly violent and fast paced.

These days you go to war with what you have inventory with very little capability ramp up production because the war will be over before you can mobilize production

Effective armies need very high levels of training, superb equipment maintenance and readiness and huge stockpile of weapons and ammunition.

There really is no other solution and it requires financial commitment.

Of course, you also need the will to fight which is lacking in Europe, but that is another issue

There’s no shortage of will to fight over there. They always wait for orders, though, and hold back until they come. The current crisis is deliberate, due to their rule-by-crisis dogma.

Merkel’s concept of “the west” is not worth defending. Let them pay for their own cultural suicide.
