CANBERRA, Australia—Russia is a bigger security threat than Islamic State, based on its willingness to challenge the democratic foundations of the U.S. by interfering in elections, Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.) said during a visit to Australia.
Mr. McCain, who was in Australia to discuss Asia-Pacific security issues, said Russian President Vladimir Putin was the “premier” challenge to American security.
“I think ISIS can do terrible things and I worry a lot about what is happening with the Muslim faith,” he told Australian ABC state television Monday. “But it’s the Russians who tried to destroy the very fundamental of democracy, and that is to change the outcome of an American election.”

Keeping in mind that McCain was photographed with persons alleged to be IS leadership, that we provide funding an weapons to groups unknown over there, some or whom are likely to have links with IS (or even have crossover memberships), and that these groups have been serving the Elite’s color revolution goals, he is right in some ways. Think of the implications. At some level, the deep state is perfectly willing to (at best) step aside while IS-affiliated groups/persons attack Westerners. At worst...well I’ll let others fill in the blanks. Anyone else find it interesting that many of the same leaders who oppose borders, limited government etc, would likely agree with McCain’s statement?

I could go on, but I won't. There have been about 31,000 fatal Islamic terrorist attacks since 9-11 (averaging more than five lethal terrorist attacks a day). How many fatal attacks by Russia? McCain is an idiot. Russia is not entirely on our side, but neither are they entirely against us. Russia is looking after Russian interests, which are closer to our own interests than anything McCain speaks up for. ISIS wants us dead, our wives raped, and our daughters enslaved. If McCain can't tell which is the bigger threat, it's time for him to retire.

Someone needs to tell moron McCain that the Cold War is over and was won by the United States (and specifically by Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II), and that the USSR is no more. Much of "Russian" antipathy to the US is "holdover" from the USSR days. I suspect the Russian "man in the street" would much prefer America and Americans as allies.
