Nine days. Zero news conferences. There's one thing clear about President Trump's first trip abroad: He kept the press at arm's length.
"It is unheard of to go overseas for nine days with the President of the United States and have the press corps there ... and not take formal questions," said April Ryan, a CNN political analyst and the White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks, on CNN's "Reliable Sources" on Sunday.
...Reporters were able to lob only five questions at the president in hallways or meeting rooms on the trip.

Where is it written in the Constitution that the President must give press conferences? Obama went over 300 days without a press conference, and the press was fine with that. So Pres. Trump can look up the days in that press drought and match it, ignoring these crying babies. They will twist whatever he says and does any way, so nothing will be lost.
The President should have a weekly report on what was accomplished every Friday night on CSPAN to inform the citizens. It should not be an entertainment show or a version of WWE wrestling, but a straight forward account of what was accomplished by the government we pay through the nose for.
The press need to be held accountable. If they act like children, they should be treared like children.

The president should avoid the “press” as much as possible. As we’ve seen time after time, they will try to distort what he says, take it out of context, and put a hard-left spin on everything. Trump has more important things to do than waste time with these dishonest DNC spokesmen parading around as “journalists.”
He’s needs to give more speeches instead where he talks directly to the American people. He should have a trained PR team to get out in front of any bad stories and have proper, effective answers ready as quickly as possible. He personally should just ignore the questions they lob at him unless its on a legitimately important policy issue. The “press” is becoming more and more superfluous; he doesn’t need to play their gotcha games.
