It’s been my general observation that people who put too much store in physical reality should not delve into psychoactives of any kind, it scares them. People with strong phobias or deeply suppressed trauma shouldn’t do it either, because it will come out, sometimes in a spectacular fashion that is rarely pretty. Well adjusted creative sorts, whether that’s visual, musical or otherwise tend to fare the best and might actually derive some benefit, although I refuse to recommend that anyone experiment with this stuff. It’s too unpredictable one individual to the next.

“She decided to try these less harmful mushrooms while vacationing”

Was that the right kind or wrong kind of Psilocybin containing mushroom?

Is lying about your age to serve the same as being a dysfunctional Dead Head who’s taken a fat-soluble drug that has a history of producing flashbacks?

Since commercially available LSD and mushrooms have NEVER been subject to any controlling or enforceable standards, a global “survey” of consumers seems a little ridiculous.

Since no one knows what is actually being consumed, comparisons are pointless.

In their favor, most people that drink everyday know what they are doing is not right and dangerous. Pot heads, not so much. Wake, bake and attack.

What sort of physiological flashbacks do owning a firearm or using racial slurs produce?

I don’t know which mushroom variety she ingested. My question was about risk calculation, not a specific anecdotal event. Does the stated ‘low risk’ include people who only consumed a psilocybin variety (presumably this woman) or does it include those who intended to consume a psilocybin variety but instead ingested a variety which is almost always more toxic. e.g https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galerina

What's your basis for saying Drew68 is a dysfunctional Dead Head?

Yeah, that’s me. All wound up and deplorable.

I am the GOAT WHO STARES BACK - when subversive POSes like the “journalists” at Hufpoo try to sell their home-grown pcili-bullshyte to another generation of other people’s kids.

NO SALE.

And get off my lawn!

You mean other than the fact he/she/it has made itself into the Lying L.I.F.E.R. LSD poster child on this thread?

F.O.A.D. typically accompanies the E.S.A.D. - which is fine in a libertarian worldview... as long as the individual doesn’t take others with them in the process.

Re: ...most people that drink everyday know what they are doing is not right and dangerous.

I'm a non-drinker, so I have no ax to grind on this issue.

However, moderate, daily consumption of alcohol consistently appears as a positive predictive factor for long life.

The best predictor of all - but only for males - is to have a long lived older brother.

>>a psilocybin variety

Psilocybin is a substance not a variety. The premise that there’s a “right” kind of magic mushroom is just bullshyte.

As demonstrated by the double ententes of ESAD and FOAD - Stupid is as Stupid does.

In this instance, the shyte would be what Hufpoo is selling in the process manipulating the perception of its stupefied readership.
