I fully expect their PR firm to be fired in the next few days or weeks, as it's been a disastrous week for the company.
I knew it was a lie
And they claim to be about honoring the military
Nope the CEOs customer relation gal called me back yesterday and confirmed that was their policy. I asked why they were on hardball the night before and that after 30 years them lying to me meant I couldn’t trust them anymore.
Said she would highlight the concerns to the marketing team - then I told her I expect accountability for the CEO and other execs that made the decision. Executive committee needs in on this and we as owner members need to exercise our votes and call for no-confidence. Trying to see what it would take to drive new candidates for the next election.
It should be. These companies need to be aware of what is really going on instead of allowing PR firms to do knee jerk damage control, selectively at that.
This is called loyalty that USAA has built with the military over many years.
I wrote a letter to USAA's Senior Manangement requesting an explanation about this reported issue.
FYI, I have written several letters over the years concerning personal issues to the CEO who is normally a retired Flag Officer. I have always received a positive response and expect the same this time.
When that response is received I will post it so all Freepers can get a better picture of USAA's position.
