A Washington Post opinion writer wrote a glowing piece praising First Lady Melania Trump as a “feminine power” for slapping away President Donald Trump’s hand Tuesday.
“In that instant, the first lady became every American woman who donned a pink-kitten hat to protest the then-new president — and cemented her status as star of the show: ‘Melania of Arabia, High Priestess of the Testosterone-Intoxicated, Tiny-Hands Revue’,” Kathleen Parker wrote.
Melania and Ivanka Trump accompanied President Donald Trump on his first trip as president overseas. Parker praised Melania and Ivanka Trump for the way that they dressed when vising Saudi Arabia, saying that the two women must have “struck fear” in culture that expects women to be invisible.
“Preternaturally beautiful, they seemed to glide as apparitions above the sea of dark suits and white robes and must have struck fear in the hearts of men whose culture demands that women be publicly invisible,” Parker said.
Melania and Ivanka also resonated with the women of Saudi Arabia, because they demonstrated both “strength” and “intelligence,” Parker continued.
“Despite their apparent ornamentalism, there’s little doubt both women made a lasting impression on Saudi women, who would have recognized and identified with their feminine power. Wordlessly, they projected strength, intelligence, grace — and a timeless wisdom that all women share,” Parker wrote.
Parker ended by claiming that Melania proved, despite Trump, that class still exists in the presidency.

There was a picture a few days ago where all the eyes of the white robes were looking at our FLOTUS as she and POTUS passed by. Little awkward as the view they were looking at was her backside. ;-)

I watched the video of Melania “slapping” Trump’s hand at least 5 times, trying to figure out what they were talking about. It didn’t look like she “slapped” his hand — it looked like he reached for her hand, she reached for his and they just didn’t connect. That whole slapping thing is a big nothingburger.

I see Parker’s editorials all the time in my local newspaper... I agree a complete ditz. A card carrying DemBot ditz.
For anyone willing to watch the whole ceremony, it becomes even more obvious that you are right. I watched it live on Fox and Friends, and there were a few different times Trump was indicating with this hand that Melania should move up to where he was. At one point, he could be audibly heard saying "come on, honey, let's go" to her.
The anal retentive leftists are simply desperate to find something to attack the Trumps over since their trip is going so well. Since his wife is an asset to him, they're all over the Internet and some "news" organizations trying to pretend that Melania can't stand her husband and "slapped" away his hand when he was trying to hold it. It doesn't matter to them that he wasn't trying to hold her hand, nor did she slap it away. The saddest thing is some people who are supposedly Trump supporters seem to be buying the propaganda without question (nor bothering to watch the whole ceremony for context). It's really pretty pathetic.

President Trump did not slap away Melania’s hand.
That was the left's MO regarding Nixon. Reasonable people were bombarded with "Tricky Dick" and "I'm no crook" to the point where they caved and accepted the meme that Nixon was guilty of everything uttered and muttered.
The "comedy" shows like Laugh In and anything associated with norman lear were the conduit just like late night talk shows are being used now.
