Just shortly after WWeek announced Kooks Burritos a small burrito pop-up with events at the Tight Tacos food cart in Southeast the operation has shuttered and deleted much of its online presence. The closure coincides with public outrage at what some are calling the restaurants appropriation of another cultures intellectual property.

These white cooks bragged about stealing recipes from Mexico to start a Portland business. It reads, The problem, of course, is that it's unclear whether the Mexican women who handed over their recipes ever got anything in return.
Please do not use the internet to make these complaints as it was a creation of white men who would not appreciate the cultural appropriation of their efforts.

“Cultural Appropriation” is just another cudgel that the cultural Marxists wield to cause chaos and pain. The thing is, it only has power if you grant it.

The commies in Portland are insane. A restaurant can serve any recipes it wants to, regardless of origin. I would have told those critics to eat a burito through their southernmost orifice.

So, let me get this straight. Men can be on the cover of Vogue magazine pretending to be women, but white people can’t make Mexican food? They are probably just angry they were making it better than Mexicans.
