Did you hear that the mayor of New Orleans is signing an order forcing all copies, tapes, cd’s and albums containing The Band’s “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” to be turned in and destroyed under penalty of law?

I just watched Joan Baez (no right winger she) sing that at her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction. And I gotta admit I was a little surprised. I guess she had a hit with it, but I didn’t remember that. It IS a great song and she and the group she had for it sang it very well.
