Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) on Monday blasted the Trump administration after Infowars said it had been given White House press credentials.
"I want to throw up," Murphy tweeted.
"@POTUS has granted legitimacy to a group that believes Sandy Hook was a hoax carried out by paid actors."
Infowars claimed on Monday it had received the credentials in an "epic blow to the mainstream media's control of the narrative."
Reporters tweeted that the Infowars reporter appears to have been given a temporary day pass and not a permanent one.
Alex Jones, the host of the radio program "Infowars," has alleged multiple times that the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., that killed 20 children was a hoax.
In April, the Newtown Board of Education wrote a letter to President Trump asking him to speak out against Jones.
Jones in the past has also accused the U.S. government of being involved in the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 and the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Exactly. Washington Post and New York Times have lowered the bar so far that there's no reason not to give the same press credentials they've long enjoyed to Infowars and Wing Nut Daily.
No comment from Murphy when fellow party member , Cynthia MCKinney, made any of her statements? Hmmmm....
Why stop with Infowars. Why not give a press credential to the National Enquirer too? They have more credibility than the NY Times and the alphabet networks. Those people are the real tabloid news today, not the Enquirer.

As long as the "vanity tax" is paid when news reports are posted, that sounds good to me.

Actually visited infowars while Freerepublic was down. Some very good and timely articles were there. Prison Planet is still a bit off the rocker though lol.
