Another fight is brewing in Washington that analysts predict could be of epic proportions.

President Donald Trump's team is expected to roll out its fiscal 2018 budget proposal this week, starting the process of laying out the government's funding future.

{snip}

The proposal is expected to include cuts to domestic spending programs across the board, with especially deep slashes to the Environmental Protection Agency and State Department.

According to a report from Axios' Jonathan Swan, the budget proposal is also expected to include deep cuts to spending on Medicaid — the program that provides health coverage for low-income Americans — and other entitlements that would total $1.7 trillion over the next 10 years.

Other proposed entitlement cuts, according to Axios, would be to food stamps, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and disability insurance.

We’re in a cultural and spiritual war and Trump, God bless him, is leading the charge.

What’s at stake: recovery of our free constitutional republic with drastically constitutionally-cut down and limited federal government and constitutional state sovereignty and independence.

Bring it on!!!

Go for the shutdown and don’t pay the workers for not working.

What good does punishing a nurse at Walter Reed caring for our wounded military, a DoD teacher working overseas, a Navy shipyard worker, or a Border Patrol worker trying to do his job? Over 40% of civilian Pentagon employees are veterans. Many folks in government at the worker level are decent folks. Many of them are Conservative Trump supporters. Fight the Democrats, the media, and cut useless agencies like EPA and the Dept of Education. But hurting the worker bees does nothing to kill the snake’s den. Focus your outrage appropriately.

This will smoke out all of the RINO pretend fiscal conservatives. We’ll see if they vote for the citizens or special interests.

Well, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater. We can get the budget passed, but the Reps will have to carry it; we can’t count on a single dem vote.

The good news is, there’s $1.6B in there for a nice beautiful wall.

“The baby” is an unnecessary, unaffordable, unConstitutional dysfunctional bureaucracy.

It merely exists as a self-serving parasitic draw on the American people’s economy.

No there isn't. Language in the bill precludes any wall building only repair and there restrictions on the kind of repair.

you probably know better than me, but Fox says 1.6?

May 21: “The budget contains $1.6 billion for wall construction, along with $300 million for additional border patrol and immigration agents as part of a $2.6 billion hike for border security programs.”

This article is about Mr. Trump’s proposed budget for Sept./Oct....the “CR” that precluded “wall building” is in effect ‘til then.

Proposed budget, not budget. The CR that Congress crammed through specifically blocked any new wall building and I doubt they will change their position when marking up a new budget.
