Several people were killed after two explosions at Manchester Arena at the end of an Ariana Grande gig tonight.
Video footage showed people fleeing in tears from the venue after reports of bangs immediately after the concert finished.
Bloodied concertgoers were pictured being helped by emergency services outside the gig and armed police were seen patrolling the arena.
Evie Brewster, who attended the concert, told MailOnline: 'Ariana Grange had just finished her last song and left the stage when a huge explosion sounded.
'Suddenly everybody started screaming and running for the exit.

I’m hearing of this too, but there seems to be some confusion as to what really happened.
Some are saying explosions and others are talking about some sort of big balloons popping.
The fans panicked and there were many injuries as people were knocked down and trampled.
It will be interesting to me to find out what really happened.
Could be just an unfortunate set of circumstances.
One wonders if they would not claim it was terrorists, if CNN HQ was hit!/S
There are no terrorists in Europe, just misunderstood Islamists.

Some people are saying some sort of loud noise may not have been an explosion at all, and then people panicked, knocked others down and they got trampled.

You could have a Jihadist going through neighborhoods cutting off people’s heads and screaming ALLAH AKBAR and the police would say “Just workplace violence, moving on”

Crowd stampedes have killed a lot of people before in the UK (often due to poorly designed facilities) so it’s possible. We certainly do need to wait and see what comes out over time.

When you get knocked down, you can break an arm, hit your head on railings and stuff. Folks can pound your face into the cement as they walk on you. You can be crushed.

Crowd stampedes are very dangerous.
You have to keep and eye on things, and if you get the slightest hint of one, move perpendicular to the traffic and try to get even a few feet away.
Five, ten, perhaps fifteen feet from the big throng, it was probably calm and safe.
I think you can help out by proper design for better flow, but when people panic and shoving ensues, all bets are off.
