I already addressed the issue earlier. Just have congress pass a law funding the $31/mo legal insurance you see advertised on Hannity. 100k concealed carry permitters packin’ and this place will be much safer. Trump can even negotiate the price down.
There are leftists and other anti-2nd Amendment traitors in DA offices and courts in many states.
Why didn’t his lawyers bring up the stand your ground statute? It would seem logical the defendant would have been instructed in it during his concealed carry classes. Or the arresting officers could have been asked why they felt the stand your ground statute did not apply here. Either way the law would have been put before the jury and used in defense summation. Bad lawyering I think.
Hopefully the appeals court will overturn.
This Ping List is for all things pertaining to the 2nd Amendment.

“Gyrell Lee had been celebrating New Years Eve with his cousin Jamiel Walker”
No doubt two BRAIN SURGEONS in the making. Sorry guys, but next time, tell you’s mama to give you NORMAL names - or, again, things may not turn out well.
Yes, that's what the "bear" arms part means. It doesn't just mean the carrying around of arms in holsters or slung over the shoulder. And it's a right not an entitlement as the Amendment states.
The left intends to take guns from non-violent, law-abiding citizens, and deliberately and intentionally leave them in the hands of violent criminals.
So they can waltz right in and take what is “rightfully” theirs from their “oppressors.”
Forbes—a disinformation and fake news purveyor.
Not all self defense is created equal. You might not need to retreat, but that’s not a right to escalate. Most of these cases boil down to passing up opportunities to end the conflict with everybody alive.
I read the description. It seems the defendant was a willing participant who kept re-engaging with the other person.
Plus he put his firearm under a garbage can afterwards?
It is not a clear cut case of they are trying to screw another ccw person here.
When placed in that situation, I think I’ll shoot and handle the consequences later.
You most likely will be charged with murder, I was, and for what it’s worth, most all police officers that use deadly force are initially and officially charged with murder, although unlike me they are not taken into custody. Then a Grand Jury decides to send to trial or “No Bill” it as happened in my case. If they had down an indictment it goes to trial. Then hopefully you can afford a real lawyer and not a court appointed oxygen thief.
Selling insurance for a God given right.
SMH
Maybe, but at least you’ll be alive to stand trial.
You are the perp and the savages who attack you and your family are protected by the laws that are suppose to protect you
“Epps returned once more and a shouting match between himself and Walker ensued in the street. Walker lost his temper and punched Epps, at which point Epps drew a pistol and shot Walker in the stomach. Walker fell and Epps then turned his gun on Lee, who had his gun out. Lee fired and killed Epps...
But in charging the jury, the judge failed to make any mention of the states stand your ground law or the defendants right to use force in the defense of his cousin (who had died of his wounds).”
Lee didn’t have the right to use deadly force to defend his cousin, since his cousin started the fight. If anything Epps was acting in self-defense against his cousin. Moreover, when Lee drew his gun Epps could easily have assumed his life was in danger and shot Lee in self defense. The premise of the article is BS. Epps had a better case for self defense.
Notice the passive verbiage, “Walker fell and Epps then turned his gun on Lee, who had his gun out”. IOW Lee drew his gun and Epps responded by shooting at him.
Or else say "Screw the law" and fall back on that old right/wrong business.
