Republicans haven’t quite settled on a mayoral candidate yet, but they do seem to have ruled one person out: Bo Dietl.

Dietl’s longshot bid to be the party’s nominee despite not being a registered member of it would require an OK from three of the five county Republican committees — but the five party leaders spoke by phone on Saturday, a conversation which included “no support for Mr. Dietl,” Queens GOP Chair and former congressman Bob Turner said Wednesday as he endorsed Republican Paul Massey.

If, only, Rudy Giuliani would be willing to run for N.Y.C. Mayor, again! Rudy is the only “R” who would have a SERIOUS chance of winning. All U.S. cities and “R’s” and “political victory”, usually, don’t go hand-in-hand, and it’s, even, worse for all, actual conservatives, from within all U.S. cities.

Bo would be a 1000% improvement over Bill D.—and still a terrible candidate.

They need to find some hedge fund guy or whatever moderate Republican of decent stature to impress the muddled middle.

True. Rudy is the only Republican that could win in NYC.

Massey and Malliotakis doesn’t have the charisma to do it.
