Amid the bombed-out ruins of Mosul University, U.S. officials say they have uncovered evidence that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was developing a new type of bomb that could pass through an airport scanner undetected. CBS News joined Iraqi Special Forces in Mosul just days after the hard-fought battle to recapture the University in January. It's long been believed that Mosul University was the center of the militants' bomb-making projects, using the school's equipment and labs. Now, U.S. officials believe that research includes a new generation of more powerful explosives that could be concealed in a computer. When ISIS overran Mosul in 2014, they also captured the city's international airport. And with it, all the modern security scanner and screening equipment necessary to test their new bombs.

It probably is “new” news to the media. They haven’t reported actual news for years.
There’s also a good chance, this was provided from Jordanian intelligence not the Israelis. God Bless Israel but those ex-Mossad folks have also talked down Netanyahu.

So, yes, it was likely fake news that Trump spoke about something given him by the Israelis.
ISIS is probably getting their bomb making help from every arab country.

Why not just ask the key players in this war, how far advanced they are with their new weapons?? Bring in John McCain, Lindsay Graham, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Barack Obama,... and just ask them.
I wouldn’t even say Israel or Jordan.
“The city” that the wackadoodles were all ‘omg, Trump identified the city to Russia and spies are gonna dieeee!”, was Mosul. The “source” was joint US-Iraq forces. “The method” was people who break things, resulting in a whole lot of dead Isis bodies. No Jordan or Israel needed.
One of their young agents disguised a bomb prototype as a clock, fooled a lot of school administrators in the USA. I don’t doubt that they could fool airport TSA staff with bombs disguised as laptop computers, as the TSA staff are dumb as rocks.
