WASHINGTONPresident Donald Trump is considering broad changes to his communications team and strategy, which he blames for failing to contain the controversy surrounding his firing of former FBI Director James Comey, according to multiple administration officials.
Among other moves, Mr. Trump is again weighing replacing Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who returned to the briefing room podium on Friday after two days away on Naval reserve duty. But the president is considering a larger reorganization of his team, a White House official said. Since Wednesday, a senior communications staffer has been reaching out to people from supportive cable TV surrogates to gauge their interest in joining the staff.
Additionally, in a taped interview set to air Saturday, Mr. Trump said he is considering abolishing the century-old practice of daily press briefings in favor of conducting his own briefing every two weeks, according to a preview released by Fox News. In that interview, the president called Mr. Spicer a wonderful human being but declined to answer a question about whether he would remain in his post.

The scum-sucking antipathy of the US media is a GIVEN:
He could have Jesus Christ himself as his daily spokesman and the Pressitutes would all be kitted out in Roman finery, passing around hammers and nails.
Spicer does a damn good job. The press hates him!!
Sounds good to me.
This would only serve to embolden the press.
Spicer and the Huckabee woman have done excellent work.
There’s no satisfying the press’ insatiable whore-mongering appetite.
Just ride it out.
I think he should give Sean a day off every week or two.
Let the whores in the press wonder each day.
Or he could stand in the wings when Spicer is answering questions then burst in and level em at an appropriate time.
Trump is also eorking to reform the LSM, but that’s quite the challenge.
i think both Sean and Sarah have done a great job. I love Trumps Tweets, but I really wish he had a buffer. Someone who would point out the dangers of some of the things he says
WSJ? Mostly Fake News.
BTW, Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a star.
I’m sure he has plenty of people that tell him that but he says, trust me, it’s gonna work great, I have good instincts, buh-lieve me. And then it does.
Agree!
Cancel the daily briefing..?!
EXCELLENT..!!!
This guy is SO innovative and smart..!
It serves as nothing more than a daily chance to pummel the cr*p out of someone from the Admistration.

SCREW THE US MEDIA...!!
There is no fixing it until Trump does his own regular press conferences, or demurs entirely to issuing a paper statement on various issues.
He will not and is not able to keep the Communications team up to speed on his motivations, his remarks by tweet, even his calendar.
Trump leaves them out of the loop and uninformed, which makes them look very bad, ignorant or incompetent, in these WH pressers.
As Spicer explained today this president is an activist and fast moving, leaving the spokesmen/women to give the latest information they have, and to offer updates as events role along.
Face it, they seldom know what is going on with Trump, and no one can perform well under those routine conditions. Looking like a fool doesn’t pay nearly enough, when their credibility is at stake.
Personally, I like Sean very, very much. Sarah will be a diamond some day, perhaps, but is definitely not ready for prime time at the White House. She seems to think that talking, while having no first hand knowledge, serves the interest of the president. It does not. It makes her look like Richard Gere tap dancing to smarmy the jury. Ridiculous. And very hard on her credibility. Sean does not do that.
There will be a shake up. Trump will take over, because the White House yakkers are not cutting it and are losing the war, too obviously.
...Among other moves, Mr. Trump is again weighing replacing Press Secretary Sean Spicer,...
According to who? More unnamed sources?
Trump's idea of holding biweekly press conferences will give him a huge platform. The viewership will be enormous. And Trump will control the narrative. The MSM will be even more marginalized.
Trump is no longer playing the game according to the rules of the MSM. He declined going to the dinner, which took them down a peg. Cutting off their daily televised access to the WH Press spokesman is just another way to diminish and marginalize a hostile media.
The WH Press Corps was very subdued today. They fear that the plug will be pulled on their daily televised attacks against Trump, which consist of Dem talking points for the day.
Exactly.
...Mr. Trump said he is considering abolishing the century-old practice of daily press briefings...
First it’s President Trump. Second I would have done the same thing. On day one. When there’s news I’ll call a press conference.
